Season 5 ran from the very end of November 2011 to very end of February 2012.

As season 4 had exprienced numerous problems with no-shows, some of the coaches had decided to drop out or take a break. At the same time there was a small surge of new players. Due to these developments, league decided to take a fresh start with a season where everybody would play with rookie teams. Season 5 was played under the name of "Feeders" with following participants:

Thus the NUL rookie coach Barmution earned his first NUL trophy and the title of season 5 champion!
Second place was conquered by Luiggi with Orkitis B.C. and The_Golden_Arrow took an impressive third place with his Ogre team Fasta Stronga Betta.

NUL season 4 returned to two division format. Valhalla Cup was the championship league with the following 6 teams:

After the reqular season there was a FAQ round (Final and Qualification games) played between following teams.
Valhalla Cup and league season 4 championship was decided between following teams:
Bantha with NattBowlarna (Undead) vs J-Reedy with Cougar Kittens (Amazon)

The NattBowlarna gave no mercy and stomped the Amazons into ground, making Bantha the league champion!

The_Golden_Arrow with Virgins No More (High Elf) earned a direct place in Valhalla Cup by winning Ull's Pasture. The second team to earn promotion was decided between the runner-up from Ull's Pasture and second to last from Valhalla Cup:
JerXou with Last Steps (Undead) vs Ratstick with Flying Boom Bats BK (Skaven)

JerXou thus earned promotion but as the season 5 recap will tell, there was to be a change in league structure for the following season...

NUL season 1 is somewhat shrouded in mystery due to lacking eyewitness accounts. Meaning that some of the pictures used in Season 1 thread were stored on two different hosting services that have now gone extinct. What is known is that the Season 1 had three simultaneous leagues: the main league "Valhalla Cup", division league "Ull's Pasture" and developer league "Feeder".

Alongside the Valhalla Cup there were two other cups being played, Ull's Pasture and Feeder. Ull's Pasture was a lower division league and the purpose of Feeder seems to have been to give experience to coaches and teams that didn't make it to the main league in time. Okay, so the regular season is done and the final duo has been decided and MADs are fortunate enough to make it with Tags' Non Fungible Team.

So, Tags-man, any of the following CET start times suit you, sir?
- Today (Wednesday) 18-21
- Thursday 18-19.30 (something came up)
- Sunday any time before 20

Next week Monday is definately out, rest of the days are still hazy, so will only get more info on those closer to weekend.

Season 48 and set of three seasons is coming to an end, so it's time to plan the next season - season 49.

As Blood Bowl 3 is looming ahead with release scheduled for February, this will most likely be either second to last or last three-season set. WE WON'T MOBE TO BB3 UNTIL MOST OR ALL PLAYERS HAVE THE NEW VERSION. But most likely we will run an exhibition season alongside the official NUL championship league amongst those players that will get BB3 early.

As BB3 will have totally new league system according to developers, we will have to wait on the official release to get more info on how that will change NUL. After we have more info what kind of league system the new game will support, we'll start planning. As always, all opinions and ideas are welcomed. I'm hoping that the new system will support some kind of parallel leagues where coaches can develop teams for the main league, as our current system may be bit punishing for new coaches that don't have previous NUL teams. But as said, we'll know more when the new game is released.

But for now, we'll continue with BB2. And Season 49 will mark the start of new three season run, so ONLY NEW TEAMS are allowed for season 49. For Seasons 50 and 51 coaches with previous NUL teams can bring their previous teams in, but S50 will have a TV limitation. But for now, next season 49 is an excellent chance for any new coaches to hop into our league as everybody will start with a fresh team.

The start of the new season will most likely happen mid to late January.

As a reminder, if we get 10 teams in, playoffs will be between best 4 teams. With 8 teams only top 2 will make the playoffs. If we get 12 teams, we'll have to discuss if we'll go with 8 team playoffs. Opinions on this are appreaciated.

If you know someone who might be interested in joining our little corner of the Blood Bowl world, please invite them! As already said, this is the best point to jump into the league as everyone will be playing with rookie teams.
