Wooo, Gron and Nippy are back \o/

So Snyto, I'm afraid my situation is quite the opposite. Tuesday and Wednesday appear packed, but I can play from Thursday and through the entire (long) weekend.

There's a chance I can play Tuesday evening, but hard to promise an exact time. I may be home around 21-22-ish and can try to squeeze in a game then. Don't know if you're a night person or a morning person :D

Anyway, failing that, I'm afraid it's next Tuesday at the earliest.

I'm definitely not what you'd call a morning person most of the time. However I'd rather have a set time when you're sure without any mays and maybes so Tuesday 2016-05-10 at... 18-19-20-21-ish CEST sound fine? I'm open for suggestions regarding the starting time.

Hey ho
I'll join you for another season, open spots permitting, though I'm ambivalent wether to field the greasy lizards again or go the inducement route and concentrate on seeding chaos on the pitch with a horde of gobbos. Most likely it'll be the lizards but I'll let you know shortly.

/Snyto

My preferred team would probably be The Phin Phighters (lizards), but probably don't want two lizzie teams in one season, so I think my choice depends on your choice :D

Field your lizards, I'll do something that's more suited to being an underdog TV-wise  :P
What it'll be is yet to be decided but I think the greasy bastards need a softer start to properly flourish.

After a short deliberation I'll go do what I maybe should've done from the start. Enter the Smashy grabby throwy nomz, a fearless squad of gobbos looking to invade the pitch. They might not be the strongest but they sure make a run for the money on noisiest.

I've picked up BB2 as well and after adjusting some stuff it almost felt like BB1 again but with nicer graphics for sure. The "block replay" animations though pretty gets tiring pretty fast when you want to move through a game. I think they'd benefit from making those a bit more random or at least lower the frequency for them happening if they expect people to leave them enabled.

As noted in the S23-thread, the lack of teams to pick between might currently be a downer but more are coming so the swap shouldn't be as limiting as before. I'd say go for BB1 for S23 and then swap over.

Okej Played the match between the 2 lizard teams it was a but rough for Snyto since it turned out that he had three opponents this match the ball, the audience and the Thin Lizzies. The match started out with the a thrown rock from the audience took out one of his skinks (badly hurt), then the thin Lizzes got the ball kicked to them. The Lizzes moved slowly towards the enemy pitch trying to get some opposing lizards off the field but mostly failed in their attempt. after some bashing and flanking the thin once managed to make a goal in round 7. For the rest of the rounds that half there was some nice bashing and failed pickups going on. The next half started with Snyto receiving the ball but the kick-off result was a blitz that forced Snyto to push on one side rather than choosing side. After a couple of turn the ball and the ball handler had been moved a bit to close to the edge and got chain pushed out of the pitch. This led to the ball randomly end up on snytos side of the pitch with a thin lizard close by for a quick scope up of the ball and one more goal for the thin once. From here on and in the greasier lizards had a rough time trying to handle the ball the turn-overs caused by the soaped up ball allowed for one more score for the thin once resulting in a 3-0 win for the Thin Lizzies.
thanks for a fun match Snyto and hope for the best for your team in the future "May the balls be with you".

(had to take the image from the replay therefor no cash and stuff)

*Nuffle farts in your general direction*
Got a bit frustrating towards the end but a well deserved victory for the lizzies nevertheless. A controlled game from Lars end even though he never managed to budge my star player from his spot in the front line (not for lack of trying though).

It's been a pleasure to be a part of the league and I look forward to the next season with mixed feelings of joy and dread.

One picture will say more than thousand words:

This game was an insane proof of what happens when wet creatures try to play in a sandbox.
One after the other the lizards left the field (either KO:d or as a casualty) and because of the already great strength advantage for the Khemri, this game just became a nightmare.

Not much to say except that coach Snyto really did his best with the few players he had to stop a second TD, but the bravest of skinks was never tough enough to take the ball.

Just look at that KO-number!

Thanx for the game, Snyto! Not much to do when my armour rolls was that way! Totally insane!
Fun playing against you, and good luck in the last game!

Yeah, not much to do there. 6 lizards sent over the sidelines into the boxes after 5 turns and it went downhill from there. Got some hope back in the second half but was quickly pushed back into the dirt by Nuffle and nasty skeletons.

Thanks for the game and you better smash something good in the last round to avenge me!

It sounds like a good idea, but I'm a complete newbie when it comes to streaming games. I think as long as it's an "opt-in" feature that's not absolutely required, it can't hurt to give it a shot at least. If it is an extra thing that everyone has to set up, I'm more skeptical. Is this necessarily streamed from one of the active players, or could it be from a spectator perspective?

My intention would that this of course is an opt-in for those inclined. The one who does the streaming has to setup OBS, create a profile for BB and then it's go time. After that the maintenance is mostly stop/start stream. Afaik BB doesn't have support for observers ingame so the streaming would have to be done by one of the active players. If you can have observers they should in theory be able to stream the game. The way I have it setup currently is that OBS only streams video stuff from BB.exe but picks up sound from ie Skype as well so that you can hear eventual player commentary if they're skyping during the match.
Another few things to keep in mind: OBS does require ~3Mbps upstream to send the stream in a good quality to twitch and if you use a shared account only one match can be streamed simultaneously (though I doubt the latter will be a big problem in NUL atm).

I'd be happy to try and get a stream setup (on a personal account for now) for my future games so you can get a feel for how it looks if you wish.

Good day my brethren
This was the most appropriate board I could find for this question but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I'll keep this short and sweet and this should be seen more as a poll into interest and a suggestion rather than a "mid or I feed"-argument.

In another league that I participate in we try to stream games via twitch so that other members in the league can participate in the action if they wish whenever matches are underway. This is accomplished with a shared twitch account and one of the players are in charge of channeling the stream from Cabalvision to our side of the internet.
Typically we use Open Broadcast Software (which I have a setup guide ready for if needed) and it has worked out pretty well for us. As for displaying the ingame action we've found that terminating the opacity on the roll log so that the background is black and to keep the window predominantly on the rolls tab has allowed viewers to follow the action and repercussions to actions taken ingame in detail. Sometimes lag in the stream has shown itself but can in most cases be solved by using an intermediary agent like multitwitch.tv since we seldom get a major amount of viewers so our prio in the twitch CDN is presumed to be along the lines of "lol, scrubs, here have a few kbps".

So in essence, would this be something that the members of NUL would be interested to participate in to bring the glory of Nuffle to internet citizens everywhere?
