Howdy-ho Lars. Time to face your feared tacklers. This weekend is unfortunately already booked but here are my OK starting times (GMT+2/CEST) for next week:

- Tuesday 19-20
- Wednesday 18-21

Friday would be the next available day but I don't know about exact times yet. I'll update that and weekend later if neither of those times suits you, sir.

Hakos, I should have pretty high availability this weekend. Most times today or tomorrow should be doable.

Failing that, it's probably Wednesday or Thursday from 18 next week.

Luiggi!

I can play today if the game ends before 16:00. (so start at the latest 13:30, maybe...)

Tomorrow, sunday I can play from around 20:00.

Monday or wednesday around 18:00.

Those are the days I can play this weekend, and next week. Going abroad thursday-sunday next week...

Hi there :)

I can't play this weekend (I already have a game scheduled for Sunday afternoon), but Monday at 18.00 GMT +2 should be ok in principle (I'm depending a lot on last minute calls from work but I believe I'll have no problems).

I'll keep you posted if there are any news.

Nice game, equilibri. 3-3 in a wild match, where I fucked up badly and you pulled off amazing plays after rolling shitloads of double skulls.

2 of your touchdowns were super sequences, maybe 5-7 rolls without failing XD I should have known better, maybe I should have fouled you some more after all... :D

Post by: equilibri on September 22, 2013, 10:10:45 PM
Yeah, that was an insane(!) game! Who reports the draw? I can do it because of the unfair TD I got in the last turn...

Well, I report it then...
Title: Re: Match Day 6 - OPEN
Post by: Luiggi on September 22, 2013, 10:19:22 PM
I've uploaded it. It wasn't unfair, it was a 2+ 4+ 2+ 3+ 3+ 4+ 3+ 2+ 2+ 2+ sequence. Which had around 11 % chance of succeeding because of your dodge skill (if we take the chances of a Riot! event happening, though, they'd probably be around 1% :D). I also got a blitz!, though you also got one blitz! and a riot to let you score on turn 16. Dunno...

The fact that your other TD came from a 3+ 2+ 3+ 2+ 3+ 2+ 2+ sequence does irk me a little bit, but that was provoked by your skull rolling. Plus your second TD came because of a big mistake (rolling with the loner before securing the ball on an easy 2+ 2+ with reroll). And that's nobody's fault but mine, and if you fuck up, you pay.

I won't be the one complaining about bad luck this game, and especially this season, when my skaven have been rolling outstanding armor rolls, my av 7 looks like av 9. Except for my Rat Ogre :P

Anyway, I'm regretting not fouling you some more, to be honest that's the last time I'll show some mercy if the other team can score on a Riot. Still a great game!

Thanx!
It was nice sequences for me, but I failed some easy rolls (as u said) so I guess it was fair in the end.

I'm always impressed how much AV7 can withstand against AV8... My MB on the Witch did nothing... :D

Well, interesting game (and insanely weird...)! Still had a lot of fun, so thanx for the game!

PS. I am glad I convinced u to not foul me anymore... :D

I watched the first 12 turns of your match guys, and I got to agree that there was some crazy shit going on! The first half was played quite solidly by both sides but as the dice turned crap it was solidified by the both of you seemingly losing concentration and not doing the safe stuff before the (somewhat) risky bits, messing up the positioning and failing to see chain-pushes to get vital players loose. Easy to fall prey to that when one gets frustrated with the dice, though. Been there myself and keep visiting every so often... Very entertaining to watch at least  ;D

I couldn't have put it better.

If you can, do watch the remaining 4 turns for some more crazy plays (including a resuscitated witch elf and a super play to close a great match).

Hey Golden!

Want to have a shot at the title? Well, you'll have to get through the Cook'n'Rollas first! (Ok, it's not necessarily as scary as it sounds)

This week I can start at the following times (all GMT+2):
Tue, Thu, Fri: 19.00-21.00
Sat: 17.00
Perhaps Sun: 11.00-13.00 or 21.00

Bring your freaks, I'll bring the food!

SNOW WHITE NOT FOUND - PILE OF GOBLIN BODIES HINDERED THE SEARCH

Yep, the match between Lasseman's dwarfs and my goblins went as expected. There were lots of goblins tackled about and when one of my trollies, the MVP of the match, got seriously ínjured in second turn, the match was practically over then and there. On the lighter side, goblins managed to steal some casualties from the dwarfs, two injuries were caused my failed dodges and one by the second trollie who threw one of the little guys down too hard after trying to eat him. The sole goblin TD was a whopper of a play where trollie first tossed a goblin downfield and then the ball-carrying goblin long-bombed (or whatever is the longest that stunties can throw, can't recall the passing range right now) a nice accurate pass straight deep down from the to the tossed goblin who only needed to walk to the endzone with no dwarfs around.

Very violent affair was this match, so much even that I settled on keeping my downed goblins down on most plays to try to minimize the damage. The tactic clearly succeeded as I had four players to put on the field on the final one turn drive!

Here are the stats from the game as mentioned before I managed to get rid of a troll early in the game that led to a strenght advantage that was a bit to painful for the gobos.

thanks for a great match the most memorable moment in the match must have been that elfish pass you managed.

I can play Saturday, but probably not before the afternoon. Something like 1600 or later I think.

Sunday is maybe doable, going away, but probably ready to play in the evening. Don't know exactly when, but 1800 should be pretty safe.

Final match of the day played. It was almost a boring match with only safe plays and no mistakes until quite late in the match.

It was 1-1 after about 12 turns and I started as the offensive in the third drive so it felt quite good. But after failing 3 simple 2+ rolls in a row, wasting my only RR (he got good use out of his master chef). The ball was open for him to pick up and I had to start with unsafe play and gambling. Got the ball, got it up in his half but did not succeed in building my cage since a dodge failed. He got the ball loose, picked it up with his AG4 guy, throwed, catched and score the winning goal in his last turn.

Oh well, can't complain too much, have had some luck earlier and this match went by with only one injury. So quite happy anyway.

Good game Kvasilad, you waited patiently for your chance, got it and you took it.

Khorne Demons in Halfling Chef scandal
--------------------------------------

In a move that raised more than a few eyebrows around the league this week, the Frosted Flakes of Khorne crafted an uneasy alliance with a famed halfling master chef for their match against Dogor Draugs. The chef played a pivotal role in the second half, helping the demons to an upset win against the elves.

We caught up with team captain Tony the Tormentor after he finished taking pictures with the team's main sponsor, Hellogg's. He had this to say when asked:

GNAWING THE FLESH OF FALLEN MORTALS WHILE THEIR DEAD FIXED STARE CAN ONLY BEAR WITNESS TO THE DESTRUCTION HAS JUST GONE KINDA STALE, YOU KNOW?

DRINKING THE TEARS OF ANNIHILATED FOES AND EATING THEIR ENTRAILS WHILE THE LAST EBB OF THEIR MORTAL COIL SHUFFLES AWAY IS ALL WELL AND GOOD, BUT IT CAN'T HURT WITH SOME NEW SPICES NOW AND AGAIN, CAN IT?

We can only speculate what this means in advance of next week's game vs. the Halfling Cook'n'Rollas.

Thanks for the game, it was a really satisfying win for me. The decision to blow my entire budget on a halfling master chef was really a last-minute impulse, but I felt it payed off big-time in this match (stole 2/3 RRs in both halves). Granted, you finished the first half without using a single RR, but you also accepted two failed dodges where you might otherwise have considered to re-roll.

And of course, in the second half, you had a streak of unlucky 1's, and really needed those RR's, which were gone at that point. I'm really not sure if I would have been better off with, say, wizard+bribe+babes, but I actually don't think so.

BBM stats show a relatively even game dice-wise, but I will concur that you had a concentrated dose of bad luck just when I needed you to. Anyway, that's BB, and I had some pretty bad dice my last match :)
