Howdy-how, Equilibri. I have to admit that I have a bit of mixed feelings about your team name at the moment because Seattle Seahawks just beat my beloved 49er's in the NFL playoffs. But that's american football and this is Blood Bowl so let's play some bb! Here are my OK starting times for the week, all times GMT+1/CET as per usual:

- Tuesday 20-21
- Thursday 17-20
- Friday - probably OK anytime after 19 - I'll confirm this later today when things get worked out
- Sunday 12-19

Well, you get the chance to do what the 49er's didn't... Beat some Seahawks... :D
And that will probably be a walk in the park for you!

How about tonight, tuesday, at 20:00?

Hi Luiggi

Let's see if I can beat you, have never happened yet, though.

I can play thursday and friday evening but I would prefer the weekend since that is still more or less unplanned.

- Hey, mr. Orson, how's the coach doing?
- I'm afraid he's still out of, dear mister Oliver. Just staring blankly into the distance and muttering "Seahawks... Seahawks.... First they crushed my true love... Seahawks... Then they whupped these sorry excuses of Blood Bowlers. Seahawks... Hawks everywhere...", you know that sort of stuff.
- Hmm, wonder what he means with that true love?
- Don't know, dear mister Oliver, and I really can't hazard a guess. It could be mathematics because he keeps muttering about four and nine. maybe he was a gifted mathemathian as a child. You know, one of those types who love numbers.
- That's a decent hyphotesis mr. Orson, but I'm thinking it must be that girl he keeps mentioning. Sandra Fran or something.
- That really could be the case. But as to the game, dear mr. Geri, I must wonder why you didn't blitz that elvish player Galddar during the game as the coach instructed?
- But I did, mr. Orson. You must've seen me do, that, that poor follow stumbled back and fell hard.
- But that was the blitzer elf, my old chap Geri, Galddar was the runner one.
- I dare sare you must've been mistaken mr. Orson. The elf named Galddar was definately blitzer.
- Well, we should not argue about this issue that can simply be solved by looking at the elvish side's roster. Let's see... Those devilish tomfoolers!
- What is it, mr. Orson?
- They have three players named Galddar! Two of them blitzers and one a runner! And look, two Tallans! How devilish a ploy have they woven, no wonder our signals got mixed!
- Devilish indeed! But I must confess that they did beat us fair and square with their agile play and superior blitz attacks.
- That they did indeed, dear mr. Geri.
- SEAHAWKS! DAMN THEM! DAMN THE LEGION OF BOOM! DAMN THAT SHERMAN! DAMN THOSE ELFS! SEAHAWKS! BUGGERING WITCHES AND THE 12TH MAN! SEAHAWKS!
- Oh dear, we better try to get the coach sleeping, maybe he'll snap out of it if he gets some rest.

Yep, Seahawks did it again. This time they beat my Blood Bowl team. Equilibri played a nice controlled game and got some injuries in the first half that made me really work for my first TD. Then he scored a fast passing TD at the start of the second half. Then his +ST witch elf managed to bring down my caged +ST wight with a surgical blitz and get the ball bouncing. Runner got the ball and ran deep into my territory, but I managed to blitz the runner down, but the runner had decided to score and that he did a blitz, dodge and pickup later. Very nice game from the Equilibri indeed. Congratz again!

Embarrassingly enough that seems to be the main strategy with my angry gits. Also, we fight for Hashut, not that unthinking brute Khorne. I'll have you know that we put the power of science behind every punch we make. And the power of love. Tough love.

Haha, fun report, now I'm only getting those references since I've actually been following NFL for a couple of seasons though :)

Thinking of rollilng an Orc roster for next season, but doesn't fit with a Dolphins theme. Maybe I'll name them Gang Green and make sure to lose a lot, should come naturally :P

Oh, you're a Miami guy then? Well, Dolphins seem to be getting better slowly, although I'm not convinced about Tannehill being a true franchice QB yet. I've been actually following NFL since I was a wee kid because for some reason Finnish TV showed random NFL games for two years when I was young and spry (sigh). I almost got sucked into Giants first but then I saw the Niners first time and the Montana+Rice just stole my heart. Few recent years were hard being a niners fan (the years when they dubbed the division "NFC Worst") but last three years have been great. Good thing that NFL started selling the season pass Internet TV package to Europe at the same time so I've seen all the niner games for two years now.

Yes, well, it was rather random. I've never really watched sports of any kind, despite repeated failed attempts to actually gain some interest in soccer (which I have many friends that are into). My girlfriend insisted we watch Hard Knocks, which was fairly captivating, and shortly after something just clicked. But yeah, Miami was the featured team, and so that's why I started following them. 2012 was my first season of actually paying attention though, and 2013 was the first season of paying a lot of attention to what happened elsewhere in the league as well.

As for the team, well, there was clear progress from 2012 to 2013, but the Dolphins had an absolutely heartbreaking end to the season of course. 8-6 after beating the Patriots, and only needed to win against one of the two weaker (on paper at least) teams to get in the playoffs, only to suffer a complete collapse. That was ugly. Don't really know about Tannehill for the long haul, but I think he's up to it. Most of the problems in this season were caused by having extremely short time in the pocket, but he's not great on the deep throws either. Of course, being a recent NFL fan, I haven't experienced many seasons, but I have gotten quite a bit of history through Gamepass watching various shows on NFL Network. Seems to me the team is probably in the best position since the Dan Marino era, but that may be just wishful thinking.

Don't wanna be rude, but all I need to say is Seahawks...  ;D

And about the game it was almost as if I saw my vision of how my elves was supposed to perform!
They failed with the easy 2+ rolls that mattered, but when it came to series of 3+ and even 4+ it was no problem!

Thanx for the game, J-Reedy! At last my elves got to feel how it is to win this season!
And against such a good team and coach, it was like Christmas all over again! :D

The bash fest is over:

Only lasting damage was a MNG on my niggled Blocker, so sorry to everybody who needs me and Lars to die horribly. I did kill his killer quite early but he got better. This match was probably decide by the block dice and 2d6 which were both clearly in my favor. Sorry 'bout that, Lars... next time it'll be your time to massacre me.

Thanks for the match!

A frustrating match, very little went right for The Partly Animals in the 2-1 loss against The Silver Hunters.

The dice really tells (almost) the whole story:
D6: -3.54 against 12.38
2D6: -15.88 against 27.32

Only thing that isn't shown is that I actually got very lucky to score the one TD I did, afer being in a bad spot. But otherwise, this was a pretty miserable match for me. Even the fireball failed to do much.

Last match for the day is played. Feel free to validate and forward to next day.

Oh, you want to know about the result? Well, for the first time ever, I managed to not lose to Luiggi.

But the 2-2 result will probably make it quite hard for him to reach the final. As for me, I got to level up two of my players, including the ogre, so I'm quite happy.

And no animals were harmed, permanently, in this edition of S14, MD6.

The last match of the weekday has been played, with a 2-2 that served the humans to get some nice level ups and the rats to keep their chances at making it to a final once more.

I invite everyone to spectate the match to see quite a lot of crazy plays, Nufflings, pitch invasions, blitzes, rocks... you know, the usual.

The highlight play was a pick-up on 2 TZs in pouring rain by a human thrower, who then proceeded to survive 6 block dice. The last one was a double skull on the Diving Tackling GR, which left the way open for the easy 2+ TD.

The kick-off events were also spicy. First a rock KO'd my best GR on defence. Then the rats had to play offence versus a Blitz! and a lost Pitch Invasion (usually PI is good for the offence but this time it removed the advantage) but fortunately both events could be solved and that might have just worked in their benefit. Nuffle's ways are mysterious.

And although block dice and 1d6 were against me, I got lucky on the injury rolls and only suffered KOs and BHs, despite the 15 pierced armors.

Good game Hakos, really entertaining... It was frustrating at times, though I tried to laugh at the dice and just enjoy, and it seems it worked because the second half went way better for me.
