Sunday is an amazingly good day!
I can play anytime, but to early (before 10:00) is not so nice, so just name your time after that and I will be there! :D

First match of day 3 is played, and it sure was a nailbiter. The one and only touchdown was not scored until turn 16 and it required quite an interesting sequence of rolls to succeed. 2+, 3D block vs snotling, 2+, 2+, 3+, 2+. It took one RR to secure it.

The wrestling team played flawlessly, it was like it was scripted, and gave me only one single opportunity in the whole match, when they failed a snotling throw on their own half of the field in the first half. I got the ball and was within striking distance but Hulk Hogre put a stop to that attempt.

Hulk Hogre was on fire. Once again he hit hard and scored 2 CAS. The other ogres were also quite annoying and created one KO after the other. Since no one ever came back, probably a bit scared of the tough ogres I guess. I finished the match with 5 players on the field.

Luckily for me, there was one player in my team who was on a quest today. To hurt as many snotlings as possible. Aeolus managed to kill 2 snotlings and badly hurted 2 others so I was not totally outnumbered.

Thanks for the game Gnaarkill. It was extremely exciting. You sure know how to play those ogres.

So, this was a match with a lot of turns... :D

This time Edmund Emmerthaler (the star of WoC) gave the other Gutter Runners a chance to shine, and see what that gave them...
A silly draw against some D-elves from a world of CD:s...

Well, at least the rats hit the hardest. 3 cas against the elves AV8, and the apothecary in WoC did not even need to put a bandaid on any of the rats.
The elves had a rough start with a dubbelskull from a blitzer that resulted in the first Cas of the game.
That did not matter, though, cause their starrunner just did what he always do... Pass the ball the right way and they could score in the middle of first half.
Then the rats did what they always do, run, run, run, run and score... In 2 turns...
But that was a mistake, cause the elves can run to, and in the last turn of first half they scored again!
The rats had one chance to even out the score, and of course, with some really hard pushing and dodging, a oneturner was scored and it was 2-2 going in to second half!

Now, this was about it...
Second half the elves got a blitz, and almost took the ball, but the rats kept it, and then the elves took it, and then the rats took it back, and then the elves stole it again...

Well, you get the point...

A few missed 2+ and a few stumbled GFI:s made the second half a lot like a tennis-game for the audience, and the game ended 2-2...

Thanks for the game, Golden! I am so proud of my rats that they didn't get hurt at all, and this was the first oneturner I think I ever succeeded with online! :D

As part of the audience I have to say that the first half was one of the most exciting half's I have ever seen. Well worth the entrance fee. The second half, well, let's just say that I groaned a couple of times due to the fails at critical moments.

This was also the first time I ever have seen a one turn touch down. Finally I understand how it can be done. A very educational match to watch. Bernard might be featured in the next issue of "The Legends"...

One entertaining game again...

The vamps is outplayed in first half, humans were in domination.

Second half goes well for the vamps, able to stall until round 14, 3 turns left for humans but a 1,1 on a pass followed up by dodging thralls settled the game as is.

Thanks for the game Barm, close as always!

SWINGING SET AT THE GOBDOG STADIUM!

Da Beatmores - every teen orcettes dream band and every teen orcies favourite Blood Bowl band - performed tonight at the Gobdog stadium in another magnificent set of Blood Bowl and music. Fab Four opened with magnificent set of new hits, continued the stellar backbone of trusty classics and closed with their new song Johnny be Good Gobdog that really drove the crowd grazy! So the Blood Bowl match started with every player on the field tapping their feet and humming the catchy lyrics: "There lives young country gobboy, named Johnny B. Gobdog, he never ever learned to read or write a book so well, but he could play blood bowl, just like a-ringing a bell!"

With the rhytm in their blood, Da Beatmores' agent/thrower Sarge Pepper received the ball and proceeded to run along the left sideline with the crowd and fireworks exploding all around him. The fireworks calmed down after Sarge Pepper had passed the ball to the band's base blizer/player B'Maul McCarnagey and the Gobdog bombardier Bombtail decided to blitz McCarnagey instead of continuing to throw his bombs around. According to veterinary reports mr. Bombtail is feeling fine after his hurt and has already started reacting to balls thrown at him. Unfortunately he stills seems to have trouble noticing green fists flying towards his face. But even with the fireworks gone, the crowd continued going off in wild woofs and hoofs as Da Beatmores continued their hit after hit set on the BB field. The biggest reactions came when the Fab Four's bodyguard Madman broke the neck of Trollweiler the troll and after the trollette heart-throb B'Maul danced into the endzone. Interestingly PETA - People with Extreme(ly foolish) Troll Affections - has filed a complait against Madman for this show of force but the rest of the old world is applauding the black orc for his efforts in trying to dwindle down the troll popularion.

The attack of Da Beatmores was followed by a short stint of Gobdogs running around after the ball and taking bites at Da Beatmores. Goblins also got a chance to score but that effort was ruined by the gobdog trainer that forgot to feed American Bulltroll - the lone troll left on the field - on the half time and A.B. naturally decided to try to take a bite out of the ball-carrying Siberian Gobsky that he was destined to whisk behind the orcish line. Gobsky however managed to break free and the first half ended soon after that. Which meant that the crowd went crazy again! Because it was time for the already traditionaly half-time set of Da Beatmores!

Fab Four had chosen a more swinging set for the half time performing more jazzy versions of their hit songs. The biggest hit with the audience was the closing song Hey Bulldoggob. So it's only natural that the second half started with fans cheering: "Woof! What d'you say? I said woof! Wooaah ha ha ha!" and swinging around wildly. And the swinging continued on the field as the Gobdog walker left out the Gobdog fanatic Balldog with his ball. The Gobdogs started strong with Gobcker Spaniel smashing the hand of Madman and forcing him to leave the field. According to Godbog coach curly-haired Spaniel is very loyal team-mate so it was only natural that he would take offence against anybody hurting his team-mates although he is normally considered very docile and optimistic little fellow. Balldog also proved to be in a swing, aptly dancing around his team-mates. Unfortunately he also managed to miss the orcs most of the times but nevertheless, he did score enough hits to keep the Gobdogs in control of the game. But then the goblins suffered a setback when American Bulltroll decided to go for a blitz and ended up biting the turf. Da Beatmores took their chance with B'Maul McCarnagey leading the charge that took the ball-carrying Dalmagob down and out of the game. Following the charge Da Beatmores' lead vocalist/blitzer Joinz Lennyn gathered up the ball and never gave it up before he had scored the second TD for the orcs.

This was once again a magnificent set of music from the Fab Four and they surely made lots of small goblinettes happy with their visit to the Gobdogville! Next week Da Beatmores however will have to show if they can liven up even really cheesy joints and attract the attention of furry folks as the orc band travels to the skaven Cheeseneyworld. I'll be sure to follow this magnificent band and I'll report to you from the scene! Pop on!

Nice friendly game that was decided by 1) lousy dodging by the gobbos, 2) early departure of a troll and 3) double skulls and failed loner roll from the troll. Thanks again for the game and good luck in (most of) your future games, Luiggi!

Following the true tradition of the teachs, Kauppaopiston Opet increased its performance again this week. Making the opponent feel and look good must remain our goal. Next week, we must outdo ourselves and have the opponent beat us 4-0, as the tradition requires. We've well on that path, losing the first game 1-0, second one 2-0 and now to Chaos Dorfs 3-0. Making a Dorf team score three times in a game is no easy task, but we succeeded in it marvelously. I'm so proud of our faculty, who in no time went off field to make room for the Bull centaurs to stomp their way to the end zone.

THE LEGENDS OF BLOOD BOWL, ISSUE NUL18:3

Death! Yes, plenty of deaths happened during day 3 of NUL 18. 3 deaths to be exact. Or at least that is what our count shows, even if the league official's didn't count the death of the vampire. Perhaps because he was already dead? Anyway, we are happy to see that the players listened to our wishes and created some fun moments for the audience. Speaking of audience, we managed to watch 5 of the 6 matches live this day. Very entertaining and educational. Unfortunately we did miss the 3 dwarf touchdowns in one match. Still wonder how they did that.

Of all matches watched, one stands out with 3 of our 5 selected players performing stunning deeds in the same match.

#29, Value 100, The next impressive rat, 'Bernard Brie', have presented himself. Two touchdowns and one pass in the same match is of course good. But when one of the touchdowns is done in one turn it is definitely the highlight of the day. Not a mean feat to be able to move 13 squares in one turn with only 11 moves available. Apparently he sneaked into the opponents half in the initial LOS rabble, then catched the ball, did 3 fantastic dodges to pass the elven defense and then ran all he could, and really going for it, managed to get the touchdown just one second before the judge called of the first half of the match. This goal was also the difference between a loss and a draw since no more goals were scored in the second half.

#112, Value 40, An intercept is always worthy of mentioning and that is just what the thrall 'The Gutter' managed to do this day.

#3, Value 140, The coach told veteran player 'Edmund Emmenthaler' to take it easy. Which apparently means no touch down. Instead he focused on passing and made 3 of them, including the one leading to the one turn touchdown. It should surprise absolutely no one to learn that the agility of this rat is matched by none in the league. This is a rat that will continue to do amazing things.

#12, Value 120, 'Aeolus' is the main responsible for the deaths of the day. This elf blitzer was on a mission today to earn the hot title of snotling killer. And he was quite successful. 2 dead snotlings and another 2 additional snotling casualties means he is now second in the brutal category. Only bested by 'Hulk Hogre's total of 6 cas.

#28, Value 100, 3 pass in one match is impressive and this day we had two players who managed that. 'Rincewind', the runner of the dark elfs is the second one. And this was in the rat's vs elves match, wich means we had a total of 7 succesful passes in this match. Yes, it truly was an entertaining match. He is also one of only 7 players that have earned at least one SPP in every match played so far.

Kez: What software do you use to capture the videos?

FRAPS (http://www.fraps.com/download.php) for the raw image data (AVI - at the current resolution settings at 29.97 FPS, takes 4 GB per c. 1.5 min of gameplay)
Then I use Adobe Premier to convert it to a more Youtube friendly format (MP4).

(Edit: FRAPS hyperlink added)

nice to see the match again without the bad builtin tool in the BB client
