Here it is, the much awaited Sign-up for the NUL season 19! Only one semis match and the final match is left of S18 so S19 will probably start around second week of April or thereabouts.

- This is the 2nd season from the set of 3, so this will be TV limited. TV limit will be same as with the team with the highest TV from S18 that will continue into S19. At the moment, highest S18 team TV is 18xx (Phin Phighters who at the moment have one skill roll to make), so the limit will probably be around 1800. Just to remind everybody, the rules for the TV value stuff are HERE (http://norscaleague.com/index.php?topic=3.0).
- Only new teams or teams that have been played in previous NUL-leagues.
- League will be played with normal 1 match week per 1 real-time week pace.
- As last season, we'll be enforcing the rule that if you don't show up to play a game on agreed time AND you don't tell about your absense at least an hour before the match in the forum, you'll forfeit the game with an 2-0 admin loss to your opponent who is waiting for you.
- ALL NEW COACHES ARE WELCOME! This is your chance of glory by starting every game with treasure trove of incentives! Start a goblin team and start practicing how to spend 1 000 000 gold pieces in incentives in three minutes!

2: Create an account on this forum. Note that due to high activity from spam-bots, admins have to approve your account before you can post here. This shouldn't take longer than a day or two.

5: The admin team will add you on the participant list in this post.

Now that I've actually (and surprisingly, at least to me) made it to the finals with the Boots I feel obligated to continue them despite the many frustrations inherent in coaching Humans. Unless they get destroyed in the finals, of course...

The vamp saga will continue.
Negotiations with the board of the OKWF has finally come to an end and CEO Gnaarkill have surprisingly managed to convince the board for a contract stretching one more season. Even though economics and team spirit are in the all time lows.
Despite this crisis CEO Gnaarkill has somehow managed to bribe one more Wrestling Superstar into his roster, Doink the Ogre. Stating "Doink has always been my favourite wrestler, he has won the Old World Championships several times and even though his an unexperienced blood bowl player he will be a valuable asset to the team for the upcoming season".
The Ogre Kingdom Wrestling Federation is up for one more season! ;D

The high elfs underperformed for me, did not get any doubles or stat increases and they are a bit boring, in my mind at least.
But who knows, perhaps I will take them anyway. My old team's seems to be quite damaged...

So, because every fan in every stadium want to see Edmund Emmenthaler play again I have decided to play with my rats in World of Cheese season 19!
This is mostly hakos fault because he wrote the amazing top ten and Edmund was placed right at the top of it! :D
I'm going to have to wait until next season to join, I'd love to play again but I've already had some problems scheduling games this season, it's gonna be even tougher now. Summer should be easier so I'll probably join for S20!

Okay, Season 18 is bubble-wrapped on it's way to history books so we're almost ready to go with the new season. Let's se the start date for next Monday, the 20th. Looks like we're 9 teams deep at the moment, so at least one more team would be nice.

I had more or less decided to go for ony of my old favourites, Opa Gangnam Style, but now that everyone else is using last seasons team I feel obligated to continue with the High Elfs. Tough decision.
What is the TV limit? And does it also include what could be bought for gold?

Slightly off topic, but does anyone have any thoughts on Blood Bowl 2? Seems like the release date is set to 28th of May, and it's shipping with only eight teams.
I, for one, will be buying it day 1 no matter what, but I'm not sure if it's feasible to run NUL with only eight teams even if it should prove to be technically superior? (which it may not, of course, who knows)
This is one topic still left to discuss.
And I think we need to raise hands who has it in order to see the impact.
For my point of view I'd say no as they need to secure tons of issues.. I assume...
8teams would be quite good in here.. but I am sceptical.
And how will it affect the current version.. no one knows.
As for Blood Bowl 2 I will also buy it on release. But im perfectly OK to play the original until everything settles in the second version.

I will probably wait on buying it until I get some feedback and see if it's worth it. I would prefer to keep the original for at least two more seasons and take the discussion when we have more information.
I am of the opinion that implementation of rules and teams trumfs graphics and other fancy stuff. i think good old fumbbl still is better than the current implementation from cyanide. But since fumbbl don't exists anymore we have to go for the next best and then it's depending on team availability, rule implementation and a product free from buggs.
I think we should wait at leaast to seasons before makeing a dessicion to maby move over to the new version. If its just graphics and brretonians i rather stay on a game with more teams and more depths.

Sounds like we can agree on running the remaining two seasons of this batch first and then having a discussion. By the time that's done, BB2 will probably have been out a couple of months already

I agree that rule implementation and team availability is more important than flashy graphics, but in my mind graphics and ambience is at least part of the experience. I have to say that I am enjoying BB more with Cyanide's presentation, and while I did try a few games on FUMBBL, it was simply too uninspiring for me to go on playing there.
Here's hoping BB2 improves on rules and star players, and not just graphics.
I'll stay on BB1 until BB2 gets more teams and is bug vetted through playtesting. Got a few heads ups from guys in another league that the implementation as of yet holds certain low Cyanide standards...
Personally i must admit that im a bit of a sucker for nice looking graphics. No, I dont go buy the latest Assassin Creed or Call of duty game, but i like when a game looks nice. BB2 really looks good and from the look of the gameplay trailer the atmosphere on the pitch feels great. I do like Cyanides style of making fantasy games. Both Styx and Of Orcs and Men was eye-candy in my opinion, really love their gritty style. But as you guys say, when it comes to gameplay, Cyanide have alot to work with.
So i completly agree with you guys. We should at least stay with the original game for 2 more seasons if not more. I have a feeling that BB2 will have to get a couple of months in its backpack before it is somewhat stable.
That wont stop me from getting the game at release though :P
Cause I can't wait enough to try it out! ;D

Oh I'm definitely getting it at release, but I'll probably play around a bit with the single-player campaign, random online match-making and so on to get a feel for things.
Sorry about silence from my part, just wrapping up a hellish work week that actually had enough working hours for two weeks. But now the situation seems to be clearing up, so I even have time for leisurely surfing.

I guess we can start just as soon as Hakos decides on whether he'll be go with the Gangnam gang or with Stan Lee's catchphrase. So Monday at the latest or sometime during the weekend. I'm guessing all the teams are already in the league so we can kickoff quite hastely.

Oh, almost forgot the comment about BB2. I'll be getting that at some point but I agree that we should take it easy with making the new version the official platform for NUL. Let's just keep an eye (or two) on the updates and new team announcements for the BB2.

Hakos cheesy team is left in, if change needed just let us know.
You can remove and add a more suited team if you feel for it, I like cheese of course. ::)
