It's over, and my first non-Wood-Elf season title is official! :)

It was a tough game to be sure, and the win only made possible by some efficient armour/injury rolls during Da Beatmores' second receiving drive. And this time around, the greenskins were not able to take out much of my muscle, which was the case in the regular season match.

Thanks for the match J-R, see you next season!

Diary of a roadie

Oh what a fully dung filled shitefull week this has been. Well, to be hones it all started few weeks ago when we were on our to way to that dwarven stronghold where we also played on last tour. These guys, they really drive everybody wild, and you can imagine what's it like trying to tune an amp in the middle of frenzied pile of beard and beer. Wouldn't mind being in middle of a frenzied crowd in an amazon gig, but those dwarfs are sketchy. Never know if it's a man or woman grinding against you with those beards covering everything. Well, some of them were wearing pink ribbons in their beard so I tried to stay close to them. But then I got a beer overdose from the fumes coming out of their mouths. Really tells you how those dwarfs can down beer, I mean I'm no stranger to the stuff, I remember one time after the Light Red Floyd gig when I drank all of the band under the table. But dwarfs... that's just a different story, I mean I wouldn't even dare to dry that with that dwarf band, ZZ Bottom.

Our Blood Bowl game against the dwarfs was just as painful, that was when the rumors about Joko and Lennyn surfaced and one crazy dwarfette decided to rock Joko in the arm. Then there was the normal issue with the dwarf height, teeth and crotches. Put the talent pullet oud a draw. Just as they did now, even without playing. As I said, we we're on our way to the dwarfs when Sarge got sick and passed out. Probably because he had been trying to get accustomed to the beer fumes by breathing beer vapours. The problem was, Sarge was in charge of navigation, so we had to find another guy to get us to that elusive dwarf city within the deep mountains. So I asked, if anybody was a qualified navigator. Should've known something was amiss when Teddy Boy volunteered. Never known a black orc that could read but he seemed convincing when I asked him if he really had an experience as a navigator. Should've asked as hard as I asked later when we found ourselves surrounded by giants in the middle of sea with no mountains in sight. Turns out Teddy meant that he had been a mascot for the orcish navy. And those guys have an alligator as their mascot...

Lucky for us the dwarfs had also had some problems of their own, so the gig organizers forfeited their guarantee and league officials' statted the BB game as draw. Which meant that we were on our way to the vamps. Lot's more esthetically pleasing place that is with all those scantily clad thrallettes and vampirettes. I've never before known a band to make a vampire frenzied... – Well, to be fair, the Fair-Skinned Blue-Blooded Virginettes did just that, but I don't count that one because their music had nothing to do with that and they were never heard of again after that gig – ...but shouldn't have doubted these guys. Last time the Thrallettes and Elviraettes were going crazy already after the first song because Sarge, being genius with the set list, had decided to open with Young Blood. This time the opener was To Know Her Is to Bite Her and the crowd got crazy after the first note. Luckily this time we were a bit more prepared. You see, last time we hadn't figured that some of the Elviraettes knew how to fly, so some of them got over the muscle and we had to pull Maddy and Mustard Man to the band to guard them from those flyers. Really put a strain on Teddy and Word but they did the job. No such troubles this time as Sarge had the both the talent and muscle eat loads of extra strong garlic soup before the gig. These guys being da'poppers they blast out every song – even ballads – with such a vigor that there was a steady stream of garlic breath between them and the crowd. And as Joko had disposed of all the remaining garlic we had also our behind covered with her standing behind the band and exhuming garlicy gasses...

The gig rocked but not so much our game. Last time we got whupped 1 to nil with those vamps putting some hypnotic tears into our guys' eyes. This time they were a bit more effective with their hypno stuff and our muscle seemed to be in sleep, hurting nobody, so we got our asses handed to us in a 2-0 loss. But that didn't bother the guys as they had heard before the match that the tour had been extended to cover one or two more gigs, first one being at the bootmaker place where we were supposed to also play another BB match. The schedule was tight and we really had to boot it to get into the human lands in time but we did it.

And that's where the most shittiest thing of the week happened. The gig was as stellar as ever but the game... Muscle was blocking good and even got a booter out of the game early but then they forced us to score early which meant they had enough time to equalize on the first half and that they did with one of their linemen catching a pass at the scrimmage line and running it home with some showy dodging and straining. And then the booters got the ball again at the start of the second and the shitty thing happened. One of their linemen laid a block on Ob Li Da and killed'em dead. He was a hell of a roadie who had been with us right from the start, never hurt a fly, or an opposing player. And to make the things worst, the booters scored a go-aheader after managing to delay the score a bunch of downs. Which meant I had to go putt a call out for another roadie and our guys had only few downs to score an equalizer. But lucky for us I got lucky and found this promising young orc guy by the name of Sun King. Rumor is that he's a son of dyslexic orcish king. Oh, and then our guys managed to equalize the game even after making an ill-advised pass. The booters had also been free-minded with their booting getting two of them ejected which meant that we had a clear numbers advantage going into the overtime with bunch of them injured and KO'd. They got the ball first but Ringem pushed their ball-carrier off the field and our fans threw the ball close to Sarge. Which meant that the game was practically over with him walking the ball to the enzone.

Next up were the lizzies. The gig wasn't as spectacular as it could've been with the game being already next day after the booters' gig, the crowd really got going only after the talent blasted out Lizzy in the Sky with Diamond. As to the game, well, we really never got it going during the first half when we got the ball. Lizzies managed to stay on the field and they blocked our way to the goal good. Still got a remote chance to score when B'Maul frenzied a saurus into bunch of our guys and pushed Sarge close enough to get to the goal with some spectacular dodging. But Sarge is thinker, not a dodger and he went down like a drunken mummy trying to dance to tune of impference. So the lizzies got start the second half fresh and full strength and as our guys got into unbalanced formation the little skink guys just flew past our defence and scored the go-aheader. Things started looking better when we got the ball, we got the ball to scoring distance but then the lizzies got crazy, knocking out one of our guys, killing Lennyn – luckily our doc was alert and rescued him, don't know where we would've found another lyricist of his caliber, downing Sarge with the ball, gathering the ball up and running it to our side. Sarge managed to get the ball back but then he went down again with lizzies taking advantage of their numbers and scoring the 2nd TD. So the game was practically over then and there. Joko and Pete did manage to score a tosser TD in their second try but that didn't help us and that was the end of the tour.

------
Deserverd win, Kvasiman played a stellas defence in the first and took advantage of my uneven positioning to score the first TD and take away the ball in my second try when I gave an opening to do so. So I guess I have nothing else to do but... congratulate KVASILAD and PHIN PHIGTERS - Norsca Union League season 19 CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to the finalists, well done both of you. I really like that there are two new teams in the final this season compared to the last one. Shows how equal the league is.

@Kvasilad: Nice work getting that Trophy, especially with your start this season.

@J-Reedy: Nice work getting to the final, seems those orcs are working well for you. And they sure have helped your muse to create some really good material.
