Extra! Extra! Ogres back in NUL on full power!
With a vital 2-0 win the equally lovable and hateable gang of doped up birdbrains (remember that you promised me anonymity, editor!) the Ogres are back in the game in the final season of Ye Olde Norsca League. Performing way above expectations the Ogres smashed their way to a 1-0 lead in the first half after barely getting the ball safe following a LoS battle that saw no less than 3 Humans KO'ed. 2 Ogres were left drooling, leaving little manpower for securing the backfield but a mad scramble saw a Snotling carrying the ball into relative safety after unexpectedly taking down a Human Blitzer. After that it was a mere matter of numbers to get the ball to the end zone.
2nd half was much more even and the only thing eventually saving the Ogres from a TD against was the Humans' decision to stall and then tripping the getaway dodge into the EZ. A push saw the ball thrown into the stands who were quite happy to toss it back right in front of an Ogre that decided to dial his sprinting to 11 and made the final TD in the dying seconds of the match.
Can the Ogres get back into their massive form from the last season? Coaches of so-called real teams will probably not want that. Stay tuned!

Hakos got dealt a real shit hand the first half and my Ogres were basically removing everything they laid their hands on. 2nd half Hakos started off very well but Nuffle soon took to punishing every gamble he made and his decision to stall probably cost him the draw, but I probably would've done that myself. Nuffle was pretty darn heavy handed in this one, sorry about the dice discrepancy and good luck further on, Hakos.

Well played Barmution, I'm amazed at how well you get your Ogres to perform.
First half was horrible. I do expect to lose some players when facing 6 ST5, MB players. But having 3 players (strangely enough 2 of them were my AV 7 catchers) on the field in turn 8 was definitely one of the worst halfs I have had. I think I gave up already on turn 4 with half my team removed. That is some kind of record for me.
Second half was actually quite fun. But I'm still banging my head against the wall for not securing the stalling better.

My computer died again today against snyto. I'm sorry, but I don't think I can continue playing in the league. It just doesn't work that my computer dies 2/3 games. It wasn't even on before I launched the game so don't know how it overheats like that. But yeah until I get a new computer or something (which will take a while) I won't be able to play this and my time is a bit limited anyway (don't really have time to reschedule games).

..and here I was just about to hit Post and ask if you were still ok. Suspected that it was the comp problem that Lasse mentioned but then it's confirmed. If you want to reschedule I'm up for it, but the decision is yours and the admins I guess.

Nothing much to do, one of the most frustrating matches I've ever played, injuries and KOs just kept coming and only thing that kept me in game was dodging that limited the injuries to 1 per turn. Then in the 2nd half even those started failing and that was that. Equilibri played a flawless game, gratz again and good luck in the rest!
Decent match reports coming when I just find even an hour of free time.
Well, this game was kind of onesided...
The ladies in Cougar Kittens had left their armour at home, so in only bikinis they tried to battle the beating force of the ancients from the desert!
That did not go so well...

Even if the kittens could dodge like elves, pass like elves and catch like elves, they did not stand a chance against the swinging bony hands of true bashing.
With great help from a wizard in the early first half (3 of 4 hit and all 3 stunned... one was the ballcarrier) the khemri could score a TD in turn 6, giving the kittens only 2 turns to score.
But there was a riot, so one extra turn to score, and with excellent passing and catching (I think I saw some pointy elf-ears on those players...) it was 1-1 before halftime.
The problem was that the khemri hit so hard that not even the KO:s wanted to return, and with 10 vs 8 players it was not difficult to form a cage and transport the ball slowly to the TD-zone.
Some wellplaced boots reduced the kittens to only sleeping beautys and the win was a fact!

As of now, we'll be admining all of TGA's matches to 1-1 draws. This is because that's the result he got against Lars in week 1. If we gave anything else to TGA's opponents, that would give unfair advantage to his future opponents. This way everybody gets a same result and TGA's matches won't affect the final standings.
