The match week 5 is confirmed, long live the match week 6!

All righty, tags. Looks like your teamsters have had some disputes with other mobs... I mean famil... ahem, unions and are somewhat short on staff at the moment. So, what a glorious moment for us to meet! Here are my OK CET starting times for the week:

- Tuesday 17-19.30
- Wednesday 17.30-20.30
- Thursday 17-18.30

Not much there I fear, but let me know if there's anything that suits you, sir. I'll be away for xmas from Friday to Tuesday, so it'll have to be post-christmas if these are no-go. If it goes to that, Wednesday-Friday after xmas are days off for me, so there will be plenty of time.

How fun, playing against a team I have never played against before, Kislev. I have no idea how this will work out.

Unfortunately I have no time until earliest thursday to find out.

On the other hand, on thursday my 23 day long vacation start so I can play almost any time.

Just let me know what suits you, Napoleon.

Hello hakos.

My holiday also starts on Thursday, so I will also be able to play at any time on Thursday, so, should we aim for 15:00 CET?

Aww shucks, pretty much impossible for me to make that work I'm afraid. Tuesday through Thursday I've got evening plans for each and every day. I could maaaaybe make Tuesday at 1930, but can't really make any promises. It appears we may have to make this a holiday rumble!

Hey Barm!

Time to show if your wonders of the world really can stand the test of time? Or, will they crumble at the feet of my miners? ;D

My week is totally full unfortunately. My next opening is on Saturday 23rd and after that im pretty much up for any time :)
Do you have any preferences?

Hiya Gnaar!

Saturday I'm southbound to visit my parents for xmas, so I guess we can either gamble on playing early then (say 1100) or wait until I'm back in the evening on the 26th (2100). We could even wait longer but I'd like to get it over with as soon as possible (Dorfs are not a great matchup for Uwd :P ).

Cheers,
-Barm

Let's aim for 26th @ 21 shall we? Or if that feels tight for you, maybe 27th?
Cause I wont make it early on saturday, have some stuff to do in the morning.

No problem there. No point making a busy week more busy, so let's take it easy and postpone the match to post-holiday. Nicer to play with bellies full of ham and pork ribs. Let me know the day and time suitable for you when you get an idea about your schedule.

Well, speaking in general terms, I can probably do most late-morning-to-early-afternoon timeslots from 26th and onwards. Might be exceptions. From 28th I can probably do late evening as well.

Sorry, I just realised that I am actually not free at that time. I can still do Thursday, but I'm afraid it would have to be a bit later. Would 17:00 CET be okay?

Battle Report, Day 6

Sir,
The enemy have made a surprise attack, before we understood what happened or could react we had already lost two brigades. These are the most red enemies we have seen so far, and with their stealthy skills it is clearly anoher indian tribe.

But we strike back and thanks to Shermans brigade soon the odds are even. Our defensive lines look strong and we start to encircle them. They are caught. But by some fast movement one of their brigades manage to break free. Only one of our cavalry brigades are able to even reach them, but they do and stop them resolutely.

Night falls with an even result but the next day we have a full strength ready for the counter attack while they are down two brigades.

Once again they surprise us before we can start our attack, they move like a blitz and threathen our supply lines. We manage to regroup but it takes several hours to bring order and be ready to move into the enemy territory in a defensive structure known as the cage. They constantly harass our flanks so we decide to quickly burn their village.

There are still some hours left of daylight and almost anything can happen. It is back and forth but in the end nothing game changing happens.

Oh, almost forgot, we lost General Joseph Johnston, but that is not a big loss.

Victory!

Signed, General John Buford

Thanks for the game Napoleon. 1-1 would have been a more fair result I think. Your bear did nothing for 5 turns, we lost an equal amount of players but my regeneration helped quite a lot. The bounces went my way and knocking down your player in the first half, that was a key lucky moment. You played well, as can be seen in the even numbers above. Impressive considering my luck and that you were outnumbered a large part of the game.

Lizards VS Norse

Lizards Scored a bit early when having the first drive of the match almost allowing the norse to make a equalizer in first half but a brave skink and a lucky bounce allowed for 1-0 after the first half. In the second half the norse choose to score about half way into the half, this plus the sudden change in armor thickness allowed for Lizards to make a winning goal in last round

Thanks equilibri for a nice game with a bit more luck with armor rolls in second half the mach would have been more even.

Maybe should keep the naming as a service for you all, so you know what skink to attack.

Another lucky match for the Wonderworlders: Early cas vs dorfs is a godsend and they didn't manage to get in much removal until late 1st half when Thorin himself stepped up to avenge Gloin, taking out the cave troll and a Thrower in back to back turns. Having a numerical advantage vs dorfs as Uwd made it pretty much impossible for the vertically challenged to stop us so we managed to sneak in a couple of TDs in the 2nd half.

Cheers Gnaar, you played a solid game but not much you can do being down players w a really slow team. GG.

Okay, Kvasilad, Saturday is now off the table, but Sunday or Monday during daytime (before 16.00) should work. If we need to go later, Wednesday 17.30-20.30 or Thursday 17.30-19.00 are a go. Let me know if any of those suits you, sir.

Hi, sorry, I've not been paying attention as the holiday season became a bit more busy than I had imagined. If it's not too late for everyone, I'd really prefer Wednesday 2030 if at all possible. (We're talking 3rd of January, right? I'm confused now :D)

No problem, I know the surprising nature of holidays too well. Wednesday 2030 is more than fine for me, so let's go for that. See you next year!

Edit: And yeah, 3rd of Jan is the Wednesday in question.

That was a pretty miserable match from my point of view. A lot of 1's and injuries, felt mostly hopeless from turn 3 and onwards.

Yes, the start with three 1s on 4 agility/gfi rolls within 8 rolls was truly a sight to behold. And with two injuries within 3 turns, you had an uphill battle but you made good job of the first defence, getting the ball away from vampire in middle of thralls. The final turn with 1 on ball pickup and another 1 on a pass truly summed up your dice day, sorry for the nuffling, better luck with next season (team?).

On the vampire front, Bruce Wayne continued his career of racking up injuries and then regenerating them, this time he got killed, apothecaried to -MA and then regenerated that. The new caped recruit, Darth Vader, proved to be extremely bloodlusty but did not hinder the team's performance too badly as he also showed himself to be a forcefull passer.
