Three more to go, then one to crown the chumps to champs. This day is open, so play on, mates!

Barm the man, time to see if flying goblins will hit your bear keepers or fly through your cartwheeling leapers. Still a week of vacation left but couple of homeland trips lessen my gaming availability a bit and hinder my visibility to see far in to the future. So here are my okay-dokey CEST start times:
- Saturday any time
- Sunday any before noon
- Tuesday should be any time if booked early

Let me know if any ot those suits you, sir.

Btw, quick question to all: Have any of you re-rolled winnings so far this season? And if so, is the total cash earned in the match report correct _after_ re-roll?

IIRC mine is wrong. I had 0 FAME, won and rolled a 2 RR'ed to 4. That seems to imply that the report shows the first roll.

That'll work fine, see you tomorrow!

@Kvasilad, I've rerolled at least twice this season. MD4 match for sure, I think I rolled either 1 or 2 first, then rerolled into... four, IIRC.

THE LEGENDS OF BLOOD BOWL, ISSUE NUL31:5

With more than half season played the battle for top spots is heating up. With the unexpected loss for My Little Hashut all teams have now lost at least one game each making the standings quite even. Most teams still have a shot to make top 2 which means the remaining three days for sure will see some inspired and heated matches since every point will count. In other news, we are happy to report that we have a new bookie. The snotling Trustworthy Trikker has agreed to help out with some odds, as long as they do not involve trolls.

Match 1 - Nimble Feets (Wood Elves) vs Khemri Astronauts (Khemri)
Breaking news, first here in "The Legends": Nimble Feets are recruiting a new talented war dancer for their team. We got a quick quote from the coach: "With Tony Tango and Cash Capoeira we have a pair of players that any team would fear, especially if they do shady business on the side."

On the agile front this is quite a one sided match with the most agile team in the league facing off versus the least agile. The astronauts do wield 4 strength 5 players though and Heqet the Westerner have a mighty blow so we predict that the average of one permanently damaged elf player per match will continue.

Match 2 - Punk Rock Rotters (Nurgle) vs Butchers's Bay Pirates (Goblin)
This seems to be a game that could end in any way. The pirates are the only team with positive luck and they utilize that well to both entertain the audience and surprise their opponents. Perhaps this is the time for them to actually win a match? The punk band is a very uneven team, one day they win, the next they lose. There seems to be no way to predict their form of the day. Let's ask Mr Trikker what he thinks. "I give a 2:7 odds on the goblins, yeah, I know, it is better odds than you can find anywhere else and it probably will make me go broke, but hey, what can I say, I have a soft spot for teams with small players."

Match 3 - Ball, Bounce and Beyond (Kislev) vs Dis Thing of Ours (Underworld Denizens)
If you only watch one match this day, select this one. These teams currently occupy the second and third spot in the standings and both have a fair chance of making top 2. Both have a positive form curve. BBB now have the most valuable team and with double guard this is a team that truly plays as a team. Also, their coach knows the strength and weaknesses of his opponent well since his time with the Wonderworlders. Dis Thing of Ours on the other hand have only one experienced player and the worst luck of all teams. But despite that they do occupy the second place with a 3-1 record and everyone knows that it is a bad idea to bet against the camorra.

Match 4 - My Little Hashut (Chaos Dwarfs) vs Radio Rangers (Lizardmen)
On paper this looks like a sure bet. My Little Hashut still leads the league while the radio lizards occupy the sixth spot. All that tackle versus a dodge heavy team is also an indication. The radio lizards had a disastrous day 4 and currently misses two key players. One Saurus and Sector Steve, the fastest player in the league, both have to rest during this match. But the lizards are still a strong team, perhaps our fortune teller have another opinion? "Mmm, skink sandwiches, the best sandwiches there are."

Shocking upset at Meh stadium!

Radio Rangers successfully established a solid direct line of communication with Nuffle!

I didn't realize fully in-game how ridiculously one-sided the dice were, but the numbers are undeniable.

The first couple of turns were nothing outside the ordinary, but from there on out it was a failfest of skulls and 1's for the chorfs. The last part of the game was completely ridiculous.

Thanks for the game Saitani, and sorry about the major Nuffling there. You were a good sport, and would've been well within your rights to complain a bit more :D

The only thing that hurt a bit was MVP to the loner skink, and rolling 1 -> RR -> 1 for winnings. Oh well. Just before the game, I realized I had enough to hire a new Saurus, so movement-challenged Relay Roughneck was let go and Standing Wave Stan got in just in time for his first game.

The Bath Bouncer's form curve stay on course with a Pitch Invasion and massive block and armor dice completely ruining the shadowy organized rat pack drive. Even the hired muscle, Nobbla Blackwart, didn't accomplish much and left the pitch in disgust after being unable to do anything but stun his targets and having problems staying on his feet. The second half was a more balanced affair but attrition eventually reduced the Underworlders' hopes for getting in an equalizer and the troll Bonnie successfully ate 1 goblin and tried to snack on another in what was described as an "internal debt settling affair." The Bouncers were content to keep their distance and eventually they ran in the 2-0.

Thanks for the match, JR. I think you did far more damage to yourself than I managed so I guess there will be "talks" in the locker room after this affair. At least you got 3 levels and no hurt positionals, so I hope that's a decent consolation prize.

DEVIOUS GOBLIN BOOKIE TRAINEE FOUND!
The trainee bookie implicated in last week's betting scandal has been discovered! If you recall, a trainee of Trustworthy Trikker's betting agency put up a bet that caused a controversy and ended up costing the snottling bookie a pretty penny. Mr. Trikker put up a bounty on the goblin identified as having a gem stuck in his left arse cheek. This bounty has now been collected, and what makes things interesting is that it was done by the Underworld Blood Bowl team Dis Thing of Ours who were the other team involved in the tricked up bet from last week. The goblin, now identified as Gemmy Leftcheek, infiltrated the team by some means that are at the moment unknown and according to the Underworld coach, caused the loss of the Underworld side in their game against the Kislev team Ball, Bounce and Beyond. The goblin was identified by the crowd at the start of the match, and as the bounty put up by mr. Trikker is quite substantial, some of the more brave sould invaded the pitch, leaving five Underworlders stunned on the field. Mr. Leftcheek avoided the crowd but not the hand of justice, or in this case, the hand of the Underworld troll Bonnie Clyde. The troll chased the wanted goblin around on the orders from the team's coach and finally got hands on the little sneak when he was holding the ball. The comment from the Dis Thing of Ours describes the catch the best: "When Bonnie Clyde gets handz on ya, ya go downs. Its'a shame that dad happened when da sneaky bugger had da ball and we hadz da chansy to score if he'd'a been tossed to da endzone. But Bonnie Clyde was bitzy frustrated by chasing our gobboneers around, so its'a just a naturello thingy dat Bonnie dids threw da sneaky gobbo so hard dat he wents unconsioussly".

Unfortunately the bookie goblin got apprehended so late, that Bonnie Clyde had already caused injury to one other goblin in the team and eaten another one, while the troll was going through the goblins to check who had the famous green gem in their backside. Thus the Underworlders were playing seriously undergoblined and lost the match by 2 touchdown. However, this bit of a surprising result didn't seem to have been a suprise to betters, as there was heavy betting on the amount of goblins taken out of the game and loss of the Underworld side on the last two hours before the match. According to bookie sources who wish to remain anonymous, most of the winning bets were placed by folks "looking like gem miners".

Gemmy Leftcheek is currently held at a prison hospital as he has been unconsious since the match. Law enforcement officials hope that the goblin will recover soon so that he can be questioned on the betting incident.

----

Yeah, Barmution is right, I really did a number on my goblins with my troll. But not really bothered about that, as the end result was bit of an inspiration on the match report side. If you can call that a match report. Well played by Barmution as always, controlled affair where I some chances on the second half, but goblin sides won't be winning the war of attrition anytime soon, so the end result wasn't really at jeopardy at any point.

Yeah, I dare say Nuffle's been pretty rough on MLH all season. Working on overhauling luck on the reports for BB2R 1.1.0, which uses relative luck (that is luck compared to your match opponent) rather than absolute, which seems more relevant. This is how it looks right now:

Also, I guess I should've won more :P

I picked up the ball on T1, Barm blitzed carrier down on his T1and got the ball as I had no players for caging due to Pitch Invasion. I took carrier down on my T2 and got the ball, then Barm blitzed the ball away. I had the ball at 1st half T8 where I tried 1 turn gobbo toss TD which ended in failed landing and turnover. after that I didn't see the ball until my 2nd half T8 where I picked up the ball but failed an spp pass. So I guess that counts as 0% possession as I didn't have the ball for full turn at any point in the match.

Hmm, seems to be something wrong with the BB2replayer Kvasi.
When I try to generate the match report I get this message in the web browser "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'Rotten' (T_STRING), expecting ',' or ')' in /var/www/html/reportdata/match/matchb78902d622b563ffa63ba805d1fa5ce9.php on line 161".

I'll just do this the old fashioned way then! :)

Rotten Punk Rockers vs Butcher Pirates 0-0.
The stats may seem to be pretty dull in this match, but as you cannot see them anyway I will just tell you that the match was intense! Both coaches did their uttermost to try and make that TD. Feelings of hope was quickly erased by despair as the ball changed owner more times than I could count. In the end no team could take that final step and actually score but it was a hard fought draw, no doubt!

GG Lars! Thanks for and enjoyable experience! ;D

I'm really sorry about this. The reason I was late is that I loaded up the game at around 18:20, and then a few minutes later my computer was still on, but the screen went black and I got 'no single detected.' I restarted my computer and then started the match, and the same thing happened again. I have had this no signal detected problem in the past, but it has always been when the computer first started up, and then it would be okay once it was running. I do not believe this is the same as the overheating issue, as my computer stayed on but there was no signal to the monitor.

It is really annoying that my computer was fine for the previous match, and worked for the whole week, but then just messed up as I tried to play this match. I am really sorry about this and understand if you do not want to try playing this another time, and want to keep the forfeit result. I will test this game over the next few days, and see if I still get this problem.

Sorry about the delay, everyone. It seems that my graphics card is overheating again. I haven't worked out why this is happening when everything was okay, last match. The cooler still turns on and does cool the GPU, but not well enough to manage a full match in 1080p. I have found that I can play a full match against the AI on low settings and 1600x900 resolution with the temperature staying quite low at only 65 degrees maximum, so the cooler is still working to a certain degree, and I should still be able to play the match with those settings.

I am free for pretty much all of today and tomorrow. A good time for me today would be 18:30, but pretty much any time would work, so if there is a more convenient time for you today or tomorrow, we can do that.

Thanks for the game Napoleon, it sure had some nail biting moment.
