Seems to have been a wild ride.

If I read the stats correctly it seems that both Samuel Vimes and The Gutter died on the field.

Great road trip stories I have to say, and good match report as well. Yes, it was that little that happened.

Despite the 1-1 result I feel like a winner. Check out those blocks and injuries number and you will see why.

RIP Chuck Chevré... A sacrifice of one of the teams best players was made to win this game, but the star Edmund Emmenthaler survived and scored!

Ahh, that was sad news. He was shaping up so well. Poor Chuck.

To see how great a player the rat team lost (53 spp, ouch), feel free to red the 'legends' summary of day 3-6, posted on match day 6.

Not much time for these now adays, but here is a short update /hakos

THE LEGENDS OF BLOOD BOWL, ISSUE NUL19:6

Time flies, let's look into NUL S19 and see what has happened since our last visit.

The STAR's

The race for being THE star is on in the league. Edmund and Sandalf share the number 1 spot with 61 spp but there is also a new contender, Chuck. Let's examine them closer.

Edmund is slowing down a bit but has made 8 successful passes in 6 matches. Second best for the season. Sandalf continues his methodical slaughter and with 8 casualties, one a death, in 6 matches, he continues to be the best at it.

#14, Value 160, 'Chuck Chevré' is the newest and most impressive star this season. He is the only player to earn spp in all 6 matches. Even more impressive is that his average is more than 6 spp per match. No one is even close to scoring as much. He is simply the best with 5 touch downs so far. No other player has managed more than 3. *

The EMERGING STAR's

There are a total of 16 players considered as emerging stars. Will all of them be stars? No, but we are willing to bet that two of them will become star's very soon since they have 50 spp each already.

#28, Value 140, 'B'Maul McCargnagey' continues to be on the top charts. With 7 CAS in 6 matches he is only beaten by Sandalf.

#29, Value 140, 'Killy Turner' has not performed that well this season but with a total of 4 MVP's he is clearly still a centerpiece of his team.

The VETERAN's

This is shaping up to be a very experienced league. With 40 veterans there are a lot of interesting players to watch. Here we have selected three veterans that have performed quite well, but for very different reasons.

#39, Value 130, 'Titus' is without doubt the best passer this season. So far he has made 9 successful passes in 6 matches. Not to mention some unsuccessful ones, especially one that transformed a "certain" victory against the lizards into a certain loss. The length of his throws is more than the combined length of the second, third and best thrower.

#54, Value 110, 'Tebul' has, in short, made short work of 7 opponents. Second best, or shortly, after Sandalf in the casualty table.

#79, Value 90, 'No-Man's Wharf' is one of the surprising strengths of the vampire team. Together with Killy Turner he is the first to reach 4 MVP's. And to satisfy his overlords blood thirst he have managed to open the veins of two opponents. One so badly that he had no blood, or life, left in him after the match.

• For those of you with access to a time machine, you know what happens to Chuck in the future. Let's celebrate him now.

Yep, let's go with Friday. Any time will do, just let me know what's best for you.

How about friday 15:00?

I think your description of Juhannus is very equal to our midsommar :) Including the theory and practice part.

Okey-dokey, Hakos, time to see if one of your elfs becomes the first ST 3 player to score on my band of pure fab. Here are my OK starting times (CEST as usual) for next few days:
- Thursday 19.30-21.00
- Friday 14-late
- Sunday 11-19
- Tuesday 19-21 (starting to get bit sketchy here, might be able to start later if nescessary)

Let me know if any of those suits you, sir. Midsommar makes things a bit uncertain on Friday/Saturday but as I'm working on Friday, it should be OK.

Hmm, orcs, have feared this match since the season started. You should be so slow that I can run in circles around you and score at will, unless my legs are broken of course. Guess that is what will happen.

All times would work, although I prefer not to play after work. So friday or sunday would be nice. Shall we go for friday and keep sunday in reserve in case midsommar changes the plan?

By the way, do you celebrate midsommar in Finland as much as we do in sweden?

It was a good game.

And quite friendly, only sandalf managed to create one casualty. But that was quite an achievement since he only got to play 3 turns in total. He was kicked unconcious twice. Unfortunately the judge had a keen eye and sent off both my kickers. The boots showed a better mastery of this subtle art. Only one sent off players in 4 attempts, and it was a player known for his dirty tricks, so I guess the judge had a special eye towards him.

Thanks for the game.

Yo Hakos,

would you be up for playing tonight, somewhere around 20-21 CEST?

If not I could play early Sunday (starting 11-13 CEST) or we could start looking at next week.

Cheers,
Barmster

Sorry, today is out of question.

But early sunday would be perfect. Let's say sunday at 11:00, shall we?

Nice meeting you again, we haven't met since the very first match day of last season then we both had TV 1000 teams. So, like 17 matches in between, or something like that. Will be very interesting.

@Equilibri: You have a uniqe player. How has Corplk been able to play only one match, have only one CAS but still have 4 SPP?
I have nooooo clue, really... :D Well, a linerat that soon will be kicked (or die) doesn't really matter anyway... ;-)

I was thinking, could this be a freebooter that has been bought into team after the match? Maybe because he scored spp? Could be that the game doesn't process those kind of guys correctly when it comes to games played.

Yes, that would be my guess currently as well. Was hoping that equi could confirm that he bought him when he was a loner.

Good match report as usual. Interesting that snotlings still are the only one to score against you. I sense a challenge for the high elfs in the near future...

THE LEGENDS OF BLOOD BOWL, ISSUE NUL19:3

Welcome back to "The Legends". It is time for a quick follow-up on one of our more popular article series. "NUL 18: emerging legends". 3 match days have passed in their new season. Let's check and see if the emerging star's from last season still shines and if we have some new candidates for future fame and glory.

Two teams left the league for the season which means we will not see some of our favorites, like Dogob, Balldog and Count Alec the Handful of Tacos. But the biggest names are still there delighting fans with their skills. We start with the two biggest stars of the league.

#1, Value 210, Everyone knows we will write about 'Edmund Emmenthaler' so let's start with this showy star and get done with it. Edmund continues to be THE star of the league. He continues to rack up SPP's, on average 5 per match so far. And he continues to be the one doing the most touch downs. Quite good, considering his team was not part of the play-offs. What should be noted is that we see a new and improved Edmund. Being the one with a target on his head he has started to fix up his already incredible shape and gained a 50% increase in muscles. All in all, this means he is #1 on our list on both value and spp's.

#6, Value 170, We do have one other star in the league than can challenge Edmund, and it is no less than 'Sandalf the Wise'. This is a player that just keeps getting better and better. He was a key contributor when "The Boots" won the championship for NUL 18. Where Edmund is a symbol for grace, Sandalf is a symbol of violence. He is the clear leader of the most violent table, with 17 badly hurt opponents, more than one per match he plays in, the runner up has "only" managed 11. So far this season he has managed 4 cas, including one kill. And he is truly built for hurting. Block, Mighty Blow, Tackle, Piling On and Frenzy makes for a fearsome player.

We already look forward to match day 9 when these two giants will face off. Now, let's continue to look at some of our emerging stars.

#25, Value 140, There is more than one famous rat in the league. 'Chuck Chevré' is a new emerging star that clearly has impressed most of all this season with an average of 7 star player points per match. With 1 MVP, 3 TD, 3 PASS, 1 CAS and 1 IT he has also managed to score SPP in all possible categories. Only Aeolus managed to do that last season, but Chuck has now done it in only 3 matches.

#26, Value 140, 'B'Maul McCargnagey', the player that gives stage diving a completely new definition. Is this the new Sandalf? With exactly the same skill set, minus the frenzy but making up for it with his awesome stage presence the case can be made. He earns his wage by hurting players, 11 so far, but he also scores sometimes, just ask his groupies who wait for him to score with them, one more time. All in all, he is slightly behind Sandalf but he also has played two matches less. One of the more interesting changes this season is that his team, Da Beatmores, performs very well, while the human boots, not so. There is potential for a new star and a new king of hurting here. Even if it is only broken hearts.

#11, Value 160, And among the emerging stars we find yet another rat. 'Charlie Cheddar' has a lot of potential, even if he has only managed 3 casualties this season. He now sports the fearsome combination of hard hitting blocking skills combined with claws of adamantium that can cut through any armor. He has one weakness though, he is not that agile so perhaps he will not always have the possibility to reach the opponents expensive players but will just face an endless row of rookie lineman that have not yet learned to fear him.

And finally we have some other players that have not reached the same levels of fame but anyway managed some fantastic things in the first 3 match days. Let's call them players to watch out for.

#34, Value 130, 'Castor' have had a fantastic start of this season with an average of 6 spp per match. Second best start after Chuck Chevré. This veteran player knows how to receive the ball and score. But have now also started as a specialist ball retriever. That is, retrieving it from the opponents ball carrier. He is the first player in the league combining wrestling and tackling to present some new moves for the audience to oh and ah about. Combined with his high movement it is easy to understand why he managed to get two of his team's mvp awards in three matches.

#119, Value 40, And last but not least, or, hrm, well, he actually is the smallest player in the league after all. 'Little Jimmy' a.k.a. the flying snotling is an experienced dirty player. As all snotlings he is small and easy to throw by his ogre companions. What is unique about him is that he managed to both keep the ball, land, dodge and score, twice, in the same match. Apart from that this cunning snotling also knows a trick or two about how to damage an opponent that is on snotling level, i.e. lying down.

And that's all for today, time for more blood, more bowl and more fun. We will check back again after day 6.
