Hey Saitani.

Fancy a match a.s.a.p., today? I'm on sick leave atm and have nothing to do. If today's not good for you, I'm available this sunday also. After that I'm booked until next weekend. After that I'm available almost the whole week 2.-8.1.

Let me know what suits you, I'll try to make it work.

The last match of round 5 between The Orks and Steel of Sweden was played today in nice weather. The sun was shining, not many goals were scored, and GALLONS of blood was spilled. A lovely Blood Bowl match indeed.

Nuffle showed his favour on The Orks early on as Ripper Bolgrot agreed to sign a one match contract with The Orks to even out the odds against Steel. And with the newly learnt skill of Piling on by Gablop of The Orks added to the equation, the result was mayhem, violence and bloodshed! During the opening kick-off the fans started a riot which took a while to clear up, but eventually The Orks got the offensive on. Early on in the match both teams removed players from the opposite side, with The Orks being a little more effective in their endeavour of opening up the field. By the end of the first half nearly all the positional players of Steel had been removed from the pitch. But the head coach of Steel being the cunning tactician he is, Steel thwarted The Orks' attempt to score. So the teams headed to the locker rooms in a scoreless draw.

The Orks' bashing left Steel in a bad position as they could field only 3 blitzers an 8 peasants for their offensive on the second half. And even though The Orks only managed to bring back 10 players for the half, they still had their key players left.

Steel attempted to rush down the right flank with a peasant horde clearing the path for the blitzers but that left an opening for a sneaky blitz on the ball carrier, which The Orks executed to perfection sacking the ball carrier and stealing the ball. And as they simultaneously isolated the peasant horde and surrounded the blitzers, the ball was successfully secured and The Orks turned the tide towards Steel's endzone. With Ripper leading by example and Gablop following suite utilizing his new skill to perfection The Orks steadily turned their one player disadvantage into a two player advantage and finally The Orks' Thrower Moghuk sprinted on the breakaway with the rest of The Orks literally holding down the Steel players for the rest of the game. With Steel subdued, The Orks even had enough time to set up Galnast Goug'Zom with the winning touchdown in the final seconds.

A reporter for the HBO News (Hard Bashing Orcs) reported hearing furious yelling and raging from The Orks locker room before the game. After the match, while interviewing the star player Ripper Bolgrot he asked what happened and Ripper's face went even more grey (if possible) with the horror of the flashback and he quietly said: "'Ead coach AB is sick. And the team warned Rippa' that when 'ead coach sick, 'ead coach cranky. Rippa' didn't believe before meeting 'ead coach. Now Rippa' believe..."

Thanks for the match Hakos. I didn't want an admin win because I don't believe I can reach the play-offs this season. But since you can, I wanted to play this one out. It was my first win in three matches against you, actually. Anyway, good luck and I hope you go all the way this season.

My weekend is quite full already. I'm off from work almost the entire next week, so pretty much any time next week would be better for me. Can you find a spot for a friendly orc slaying next week?

I have my last work week next week so I expect a lot of work, However, tuesday evening could work. For example starting at 19?

19 for you, 20 for me next tuesday works fine. I'll see you then.

Quote from: tags on November 15, 2022, 12:26:07 PMAtte, we're up! Somehow, this match-up scares me more than most, given that I'm likely out-strengthed and definitely out-armoured, but we'll see how it goes.

My first available time slot is tomorrow (Wednesday) any time after 18 CET. If that doesn't work, I think my weekend is pretty open as of now, including Friday evening.
Hey Tags.

Nice to hear I'm not the only one who's mortified of the upcoming matchup. I'm currently down with the flu at home, so tomorrow at any time works for me too. Shall we kick-off at 18 CET then? If something comes up at your end, I can wait until later.

The Él Clasico of Blood Bowl, humans vs. orcs brought round 3 to a close late Sunday evening. Once again the match was too close to call and did in fact end in a draw.

The Classic started on the offense, but due to some misfortune and a REALLY boneheaded ogre The Orks converted the play towards the Classic's end zone halfway down the first half. A desperate defense managed to secure the ball back from The Orks and retreat back towards their own endzone with a quarter of the half to go. The Orks got so carried away about scoring on their opponents drive that they left Baggebo of the Classic completely unguarded as four of their players rushed after the ball carrier, believing that they had already scored.

But as Knöckla broke free from the grasp of The Orks and succesfully passed the ball to Baggebo who ran straight towards The Orks' end zone and out of reach of everyone, The Orks responded with violence. Unfortunately (or fortunately if you ask the Classic players) no one was removed from the field and just moments before the end of the half Classic scored: 1-0!

The final seconds of the half saw The Orks receive the ball and blitz Kolbjörn down. As his armor didn't break on the blitz The Orks decided to try again when he was on the ground, this time removing him from the pitch. Permanently. The half drew to a close as Flabfak tried to learn how to pass the ball to Moghuk, but failed.

Before the second half could get on the way the referee noticed that The Orks had sneaked the infamous Bomber Dribblesnot on the pitch at the end of the first half. The Orks came prepared and passed a leather pouch filled with gold pieces to the referees hand in return for him letting Bomber stay on the pitch for the duration of the second half. The referee pocketed the purse, but then put his whistle to his lips and blew as hard as he could at the same pulling out the red card for Bomber.

So, with a player down (10-11) The Orks had to start the second half without the services of Bomber Dribblesnot. It was a hard task to perform, but eventually The Orks managed to remove Classic players from the pitch and force their way down towards the Classic end zone. With desperate actions the Classic players managed to hinder The Orks' onslaught almost until the end but finally in a last ditch effort Flabfak managed to run the ball in for the equalizer: 1-1!

The final kick-off of the match ended up causing havoc and chaos, after which the referee set the clock back too much giving Classic a remote chance to win the match. The Orks' wall of green meat held up to the end and the final whistle sent both teams home disappointed as a win was something both teams desperately desired.

In a post match interview The Orks' head coach said: "We find ref'ree after game. We eat ref'ree". Having said that he turned to walk away, at the same time burping and a chirp similar to one of a referees whistle could be heard coming from his throat.

The sports reporter for The New Orc Dies interviewed Ulgrot Tear'Noz of The Orks after the match, here's what he had to say:

"We play bad, the short hoo-mans hit us hard. We pay Bomba to blow up short hoo-mans, Bomba blow up us. Now we go, we feed Bomba own bombs!"

As Ulgrot left the interview, you could hear a furious roar from The Orks' locker room: "HOLD'IM DOWN AN' PRY 'IS MOUF OPEN!" followed by a muffled BAMF, with black smoke slowly coming out of the locker rooms window...

My nearly destroyed orcs are ready for another beating. I am on holiday for a week starting tomorrow, but my weekend is already booked full. I have my children with me and we have some plans during the week, but I believe I can schedule a game in my calendar quite easily.

Let me know what would be a suitable time for you and I will try to oblige.

Hey Buddy!

I think my OK starting times are something like this:

Wednesday: 19 - 21
Thursday: 21
Saturday: All day (Early is preferable)
Sunday: All day (Early is preferable)

/Gnaar

Wednesday sounds fine to me, shall we say 20 CET? That would make it 21 for me (EET) and wouldn't be too late.

Hello Hakos.

The Orks are bruised and beat down, but ready to take on more punishment. I'm available for the rest of the weekend, pretty much anytime is fine with me as long as I get to work on Monday morning.

Let me know when you want to play, I'll bring the sheep to the slaughter.

The "Èl Clasico" of Blood Bowl, humans versus orcs was played tonight in perfect weather at The Headmasters Office.

The match was even in brutality, Nuffle's favor and scoring. The first half started off with The Classic attacking. During their drive towards The Orks' endzone they mauled two orcs to the infirmary and only one could be revived enough to continue the match later on. The humans were forced to score quickly as they hooked around the right flank with The Orks in their stride and before the half was even half way through the score was 0-1.

The Orks regrouped for an attack with an equalizer gleaming in their eyes. But try as they may, The Classic held them off with exemplary tactical play and the help of Nuffle. In a last minute desperate effort The Orks tried to pick the ball up from a couple of pairs of legs in an attempt to try and hand it off to a lone lineman waiting for some sort of miracle to land the ball in his hands within running distance of The Classics endzone, but unfortunately for The Orks they couldn't get the ball off the ground at all.

The second half witnessed a furious horde take to the pitch as The Orks were raging against Nuffle's unfairness but just as they were supposed to unleash Hell's Fury on The Classic someone from the crowd threw a rock the size of two orcs fists straight to the right temple of a Black Orc who was just about to introduce The Classic's star Ogre Nisse to the ground of The Headmasters Office. This incident forced the Head Coach of The Orks to quickly come up with another strategy to get his team on the scoreboard. So he ordered all his players to charge with furious aggression against The Classic. This strategy worked out fine for The Orks in the end as they scored the equalizing touchdown with just seconds remaining on the clock and only about a dozen players on the pitch all together. With only scraps of time remaining The Classic, realising they didn't have enough time to score again, concentrated their focus completely on violence ending the match 1-1.

The match was devastating for both teams and The Classic will miss lineman Frost in their next match and The Orks will have to make do without the services of their Thrower Moghuk and the Black Orc Blocker Ulgrot Tear'Noz.

The sports reporter of The New Ork Post managed to sneak in to the medicin cave where Moghuk is being treated and got a quote from him: "Five more minutes mommy, I promise I won't be late for school."

Thank you once more for the game Lars, it was fun as usual.
