Quick update, Memofin: I can play almost any time during this weekend. For next week I am probably busy most days until friday. /hakos

Hey hey!

I'm super busy this weekend and same goes for next weekend too, exept for sunday.
Weekdays are all fine after 19.00 cet.
So maybe friday or sunday then?

I might be able to squeeze in a game on tuesday evening at 19. Perhaps we could try that and otherwise we aim for friday at 19?

Tuesday sounds great. No stress though. If it seems that you can't play, we try it on friday then 😁

So match between 2 off the play off teams was played the Champs started with the ball and made a little move to the right and then ran away to left. This little move put the Chorf team out of position and the humans could stall out and score in round 8. The second half was a bit more exciting a deep kick and a quick snap where the dwarfs and bulls and mino went forward, opened up for the humans to try to step between the line and the ball grabbing hobgoblins. That move almost was successful at least it stopped the ball from moving for about 5 rounds. but in the end they managed to run over to the humans half of the pitch, the humans managed to muster 2 players so that they could get a one die on the ball carrier, they die showed a pow and pushed the ball backwards. The humans managed to put some pieces around the ball including a side stepper that in the end managed to stand next to the ball when the hobgoblin had to try to pick it up but the 50% chance to pick it up failed and secured the match for ruling champs.

During the match the chorf armor was terrible but they was good at injury rolls, the humans was opposite a lot of broken armor but not that much injuries. The worst injurie was afflicted by the audience on a bull centaur but it was apod into a miss next.

Thanks for the match J-Reedy and good luck in the coming matches and cya in the play-off

Hey Hakos, little setback.
My son got sick today and I'm alone with him tonight. Could we try our game on friday? Sorry about this hassling.

Sure, no problems, I was about to ask for Friday as well. Need to work this evening. :(

Well, Non-Fungible Team met Siblings of Shrek, and it was an intense back-and-forth. But ultimately, the match felt like it was decided by sweltering heat.

NFT chose to receive, and made a touchdown (forced early, because Ogres hit hard). Next drive, sweltering heat makes sure NFT is undermanned, and it is an uphill battle to defend. SoS handily scores the equalizer.

Turn 8 line of scrimmage is critical; NFT gets a few critical blocks in, which leaves one ogre injured and another KO'd (which doesn't recover 2nd half). On top of that, Sweltering heat finally came for the Ogre side, leaving a third ogre out for the duration.

So what looked like a pretty grim picture for the Norse turned into a pretty decisive victory caused by random events over a turn or two. Well, I guess that's Blood Bowl for ya.

Anyway, thanks for the match B!

Mr B

Thanks for the game mate.
I was actully more affraid of getting that 1,1 on thick dum head roll than beeing hurt in the last round in the fist half, but that was a deal breaker for sure.
But I guess it was good roleplaying from me, just as a Ogre would have done :D

Anyhow, I had a good grip of the game, and then second half was just, No I do not!
Was blessed with a ball falling outside the grid, and saw that as a sign.
And still do not understand landing roll of 5+ required on a ag4 gobbo, so of course I failed and lost.

GG anyhow, we move on!

Hi

I totally forgot the match between Memofin and myself yesterday. Was sleeping in the sofa, exhausted, at the time. I have offered him the admin win but Memofin was kind enough to offer a new time to play.

New Plan: Match is now planned for sunday, 18:00, CET

Final game of the day is played.

Lot's of goals might indicate bad defense, but in reality the defense was good enough to force the attacker to score as early as possible which gave plenty of opportunities.

Bretonnians choose to start as defenders. One peasiant died while valiantly defending against the kroxigor. His name will not be remembered. That was the only noteworthy thing happening. The lizards tried to be greedy but had to score in turn 5. 0-1

Time for bretonnians to attack. It was a fairly classic one of knocking a hole in the right flank, squeeze in as many players as possible while one knight catched the ball and then ran all the way into the end zone to score in turn 8 while all others protected his flank. 1-1

Second half, time for Bretonnians to attack again. More or less the same pattern as in the last attack, but this time they had to score after only three turns. 2-1

Lizards are on the offence but Bretonnians tries for the victory by blitzing. Unfortunately one knight manages to fall while running instead of placing himself where the ball is about to land. One more failed dodge in the next turn and there is nothing stopping the lizards from scoring, but at least they have to score quickly. 2-2 with two turns left.

Final offence is from the Bretonnians and the two turner is made a bit easier when the kick is off-field and thus the ball is given to the knight standing unmarked at the LOS. Everyone is either running into the opposition field as far as they can, or mark key players. Only a skink can attack the ball carrier so they wisely choose to mark him instead. Final turn, a block, a dodge, another block and a final GFI is needed. Defying all odds, the final GFI is succesful. 3-2.

Pheew, thanks for the game Memofin, it was a fun one.
