@Kvasilad:

From the day 3 thread:
Quote from: Gnaarkill on April 06, 2013, 11:30:48 PMAs said above I will be going away on wednesday on a business trip and after that i will go on a vacation to the states for two weeks. In other words i will be pretty much gone between 10th of april and 1st of may. If you guys want to forward the week/weeks i can take the WO loss. No problem at all.

/Gnaarkill

Ah, now that you quote it, I remember actually reading it at some point :D

Ok, fine with me, guess it's up to you guys if you want to forward the day before 1st of May. I guess two weeks is a pretty long time.

Barmution

I guess that depends on how effective the rest of us are... if we're all ready by, say, Sunday I suggest to forward the MD and perhaps prolong the next one a bit to get Gnaar back.

Dangerously drifting slightly off topic here, but... is it possible to update the BBM stats somewhat appropriately with admin wins? Or will I now be stuck with one match less in the stats?

Barmution

I know that it's possible to put in dummy matches (it's done in the Crunch Cup) but I don't know how.

Lasseman, you're supposed to wipe the smirk out of your muzzles with foaming gobbos next. 21:00 on Tuesday or Wednesday would work out just fine for me. Would any of those days suit you?

Both days will work for me I will lohin tonight to see if you got the message in time otherwise lets take it on wednesday

/Lars

Tonight at 21:00 will be just fine! Let's squish some beastman snouts :)

A bit sick so i don't have energy to write a long commentary but it ended 0-1 to the caotic dudes the underworld team hold upp pretty good untill the end of second half when i managed to score.

I'll write a short chronicle of the downfall of the underworld:

Gobbos were the receivers in first half (phew - that might keep them alive from the onslaught midfield that would otherwise occur). Due to massive difference in team value Morg has been recruted for the little fellas (along with knock out babes, extra reroll and bribe). The underworld manages to cage the ball in the middle but chaos soon breaks through and the Mino badly hurts the troll (luckily he regenerates). Even though the tentacled mino is next to the ball carrier the brave skaven gets away but fumbles on the handover. There is a series of picking up ball, kicking down opponents for a few turns and the underworld slowly advances a bit. FInally the killer beastman gets hold of the ball, but is taken down by a brave skaven and the ball bounces right into the hands of a gobbo. He is just gently poked by the mino and drops the ball. A Chaos Warrior has had it by all this ball focus and injures a nearby skaven far from the hot spot meanwhile a beastman grabs the ball once again. While Morg is keeping the defensive half clean all by himself skavens try to surround the ball. The beastman manages to blitz himself and the ball free and dodge out of harms way only to meet up with Morg along with a few jittery skavens. Chaos line up along the centreline just to block a potential blitz-grab-and pass action. But it never gets to that.

Halftime and time for chaos to receive. Morg is quickly courted from al directions but keeps to his feet. Chaos cages ball and carrier close to centre and Morg manages to get in contact with the carrier. Rats and gobbos take down the mino nd Cesium (one puny gobbo) stuns him while the referee is busy elsewhere. The killer beastman gets ferocious and injures an innocent gobbo, though not the one doing the fouling. Chaos forwards the cage a few inches over the centre line but the underworld sends in a skaven blitzer to get in contact with the ball while Cesium keeps to his task stunning the Mino again. Chaos is having trouble andvancing the ball and cage and the underworld is closing in from all directions. Becquerel, the troll, manages to blitz the ball carrier getting the ball out of goat grip but to no avail - the skaven doesn't dare pick up the ball. Though one skaven gets all excited and makes a long dash back only to break his knee right in the middle of the stride. A Beastman gets hold of the ball and runs for the touchdown. He reaches it only seconds before the times up. The Underworld gets one turn to even out the score but fails to do so even though they succeed in getting the ball to a gobbo (one of very few gobbos left on the field by now) next to the troll. Though he's not that interested in throwing the gobbo.

Yet another defeat for the underworld. We blame cursed ball, cheese and Morg alike.

My first blood bowl match online ever was against dwarves. It ended in a draw. Today I played my second match ever against dwarves, it ended in a draw. I see a pattern forming...

The dwarves started the offence and put all guys on the line except the ball keeper. The line was not very tight and with a few blocks I could get my three fastest guys between his runner and the rest of the team. This put a lot of pressure on him and already in t3 I managed to get the ball. Unfortunately my own defence was also too thin so he could knock it loose rather quickly. No one got any organized play going until t6 when Fuye, my ghoul, managed to intercept a desperate pass, then dodge and run away with the ball to far for the slow dwarves to reach. In t8 I could score.

Second half it was my turn to be on the offence. I had some problems getting past his defence and he got the ball loose. But I got it back again with Xie Xie 2.0 and it looked like he would be able to run through the dwarven defence next turn. Then disaster struck, in the form of a fireball, Xie Xie 2.0 dropped down, got a broken neck and regeneration did not work. Ouch. Seems I will have to employ Xie Xie 3.0 very soon... Since I was aiming for the offence and felt mostly secure I was suddenly quite out of position after this. He got the ball and I tried to get my players back in more defensive positions. Did almost succeed but now the KO's and injuries started to pile up making it hard to contain him. In t14 he got loose and ran close to my end zone. I managed a desperate attempt with my remaining wolf and got the ball loose again. But it did not help since he did yet another pickup (not that suprising since I think it was his sure hand player that did it) and score the equalizer in t16.

Quite a lot more movement than I had expected in this matchup and Kerrai played a very fast paced game. The dices were even and the end result was quite representative for the match. So overall it was a fun game, except for Xie Xie 2.0.

Thanks for the game Kerrai.

The Mad Science Fair steal a rather undeserved 2-1 win from the gobbos of Dueling Banjos in a very tight affair yesterday.

I'll post a BBMan image and further match description when I get home.

Thanks for a really exciting match, mr. B. And hakos, you'll be glad to know that I'll be missing one of my Bull Centaurs so my mobility will be rather limited in our match next week ;D

Mr B

Hehe, it's all cool Barm.. I really had no expectations but I still feel a bit disappointed after the game.

Fire ball missed targets.. meaning no 4+ and one success would mean a opening in that ball protection or the ball itself revealed, to steal the  game in the final turn you needed almost the same, 3+ (with rr) and 4+ ball pickup (no rr) and hand of 4+ (no rr) and two gfi with one rr.. but that worked like a charm.

It's will not be a day to remember by any goblins so, however the first skills for ball&Chain and first troll to lvlup so something was earned  :P
Missing next game our ball&chain.. but that's ok.

The game was all fun to the bone, the pressure was all on the CD's and that was fun.  :D

Cheers!

Kerrai

Thanks again for the fun match Hakos

I do try to play nontraditional, even with the dwarves.
Winning might be fun, but doing those crazy plays is ever more fun.

I mean for now,

Best receiver.. a Dwarf
top 2 throwers.. Dwarves
and one on the best passers so far this season :)

So... Mr. B, or anyone, can you put in a dummy match for me vs. Gnaarkill if I get the admin win? The stats (at least the rankings) will be pretty useless otherwise.
