Wow, that was a downright silly match.

My orcs were dodging without problems, but their armour broke at a ridiculous pace. I honestly thought I'd had it, when one of my black orcs were KO'd by fan rocks during the first kick-off, and a second BOB was KO'd in turn 2. I already had one BOB MNG from the previous match, as apparently, their armour is really due for an upgrade. I think it was turn 6 when my last black orc left the field, making it only 4 orcs remaining on the pitch. But somehow, the demons were having just as hard a time putting plays together, as the D6 rolls were absolutely horrid, and through some absolutely painful nuffling, there was no score as teams left the field for half-time. But in a surprise twist, two demons were KO'd in the two last turns, and none of them made their KO rolls, but 4/5 of my orcs did.

So it turns out that the numbers advantage actually wasn't, and I had the upper hand going into 2nd half. At this point, my orcs turned out to be more resilient, and Bantha's bloodthirster couldn't get off the ground for all the world. After a slow by-the-books cage grind, orcs run in a touchdown in turn 15.

Khorne were actually really close to equalizing in a two-turner towards the end, but were once again foiled by horrible D6.

Thanks for the game B, it was... well... different. I actually thought I was being nuffled in the beginning of the match, but looking at the entirety... no doubt that the Khorne seems Khursed this season.

BBM sums it up quite well:

D6:   Orcs 7.20 vs -13.20 Khorne
2D6:  Orcs -3.56 vs 18.07 Khorne

hehe, nice summary Kvasi!

Funny blitz there in the end..
Had to make two dode two gfi with my block dude to get (I have horns so) 2d on the ball carrier..

As I made quite few of the d6 rolls that mostly failed, you can imagine my hopeless state at the moment.
Then first failed, so.. well well.. is it really worth it.. I have lost anyhow so.. why not.
ReRoll, Makes the dodge, makes the second dodge.. Whow..
Makes the gfi and makes the second gfi..
2d on the ballkeeper who has no block... 50% with 2dice.. and push and skull turn up...(could have been two arrows also)..
I just went "Meeh"...

So yeh... bad bad season.
Nuffle punish me due the absent time playing in here... sorry O'key!

Hi there. I'm traveling to Dubai for 10 days (wohoo!) and MDs 8 and 9 might get tricky for me. I just wanted to warn in advance and see if I can manage to get my games played...

So, Gurgeh, would any of the following suit you for this match day?

Monday 7th (assuming MD is done by then) : 21.30
Tuesday 8th: 20.30-21.30
Wednesday 9th: 21.30

Wednesday is probably the best one for me, and 21.30 should work.

Hey there, I finished work a tad late so I will get home at 21.40, sorry!

Luiggi

I got insanely lucky again and won 2-0. A Quick Snap made it possible for me to push some players off-field and have more block chances than normal. Block dice and 2d6 rolls were insane early on, so I soon had 4 or 5 more players on the field (soon = turn 3). My mino caused 2 straight casualties and despite a nice KO recovery for the second half, Nuffle kept cursing the Necromantic team and they could not equalise.

See you guys in 2 weeks, when I'm back from my holidays. I will lurk in the forums, though!

Suddenly everything works for the Panzer Squad again:

At least Equi got some cas for his trouble as this was a match where my d6 really cooperated (after one initial fumbled pass 1+1).

Thanks for the match, Equi!

- WELLCOME DEAR FOLKS! I'm Gron Grumbundy and this is BLOOD SPORTS SPOTLIGHT LIVE MATCH REPORT! Once again, we've chosen a random match from the match week 8 of NUL and we're bringing you a live report from this amazing event. This time we'll witness the steel-cladded but sexy norse team Fantasy Armor Inc battle it out with the gobling crew of the pirates turned Blood-Bowlers, the Old World Pirates! Pirates turning into Blood-Bowlers is actually more common than you might think, but goblin pirates, have you ever heard of them, Nippy?
- Well... Don't ya remember the Suicide Saccers, mr. Gron?
- Oh, how could I forget? The legendary goblin pirates led by the Sneaky Bob a.k.a. Smelly Johansen a.k.a Handsome BJ! Of course, they were extremely feared by the merchants... Bot so much by the sailors of course, as their tactic was to rush the sailors with seemingly endles swarm of goblins and snottlings. The tough sailors would naturally have no trouble slaughtering the goblins as they fumbled onto the deck but what the sailors didn't know was that meanwhile Sneaky Bob had some trollies smashing through the merchant ships hull and carry the loot away. Quite ingenious fellow. Never caught, as I understand, but he had to give up pirating after a while he the goblin population of his home island had dwindled down to a dozen or so. Well, let's take a look at these Old World Pirates then, they're just about to line up for the first offence. Is that... Nippy, am I seeing what I'm seeing? Is that big fella on the goblin side who I think it is?
- Amm... I don't know, mr Gron, but he is Morg'n'Thorg, the gobbos recruited him for the match. Whizzy-Pissy told me they had to pay an arm and leg for him, don't know whose. And I'm not sure what mr. Thorg needs those arms and legs for...
- Oh now, looks like the norse coach has lined up Furry Boots opposite to Morg! This spells trouble! You see, my dear listeners, there are two things many people don't know about Morg. The first one is that he studies every match hard as thoroughly as a teenager goes through a Gameman or Bottomshack magazine! And the second one is that Morg really loves hairy squigs, and to suprise of many, I don't mean as a food but as pets. I hear that he has over hundred of them roaming free in his mansion! And when we add to this equation the fact that Fantasy Armor Inc's Furry Boots are made from... Can you guess it, Nippy?
- Ahmm.... Furry Bunny hide?
- No, Nippy, from hairy squigs! And now Morg is opposite a player who is not just sporting the top of line Furry Boots made from the hide of the animals he loves but also sporting the name of those boots...
- OH NO! CAN'T LOOK! THE HORROR!
- Don't worry, Nippy. He didn't suffer long. Well, I must say, that Furry Boots are really good at protecting your feet and they do make your calves look as sexy as hell - to the female eye I mean I've been told - but they can't protect you from half a ton of grazed ogre smashing his fists through your skull like a piston on those weird gnoll machines. So, Old World Pirates draw the first blood and as a result the norse lineman Furry Boots is lying mangled on the field, dead as a vampire after a toothpick acupuncture! The norse coach looks stunned and doesn't even try to coax his team doctor onto the field!
- ...so much blood...
- Don't be squemish, Nippy, that was just a standard block performed by a professional Blood Bowler. Game continues! Gobbos have the ball, Captain Hook is preparing to throw, not the ball, but a bomb! There it goes! BOOM! Hmm, there might just be too many captains in that goblin team... Captain Hook just knocked down Captains Dread and Blackbeard with his bomb! There come the norse, Frank Frazzy Etta knocks out the new chainsaw player, Kwikit, which clears a route to Haggis McMutton who is carrying the ball. Haggis trys to dodge away... AND HE GOES DOWN! AND HE'S INJURED! Norse swarm the ball, trollies and Morgh try to rush the norse, ball gets bounced, blocks are thrown, there goes the ball again! Norse are crowding the ball which is bouncing around in the goblin half, norse Abby Enhancer tries to dodge out to get the ball, KNOCKED OUT! Now the gobbos could get it if Murray just manages to dodge... HE'S KNOCKED OUT! There comes the Fantasy Armor's yahatee Finnjävävel with a blitz and... IT'S A NICE HOOK THAT HOOKS HOOK'S HEAD VIOLENTLY TO THE SIDE! Captain Hook is injured! The ball is now by the goblin endzone but here comes Morg to the rescue! He picks up the ball, pulls his arm back and... drops the ball behind his back... Norse strike back, Morg is struggling against six norse players, he manages to stay on his feet, takes down one of them, is pushed back again and now... he's gone to the stands! What a sight! Crowd is just tearing into him, it's not everyday that you get to meet such a famous player so up and close! Oh, looks like somebody got a nice souvenier, that guy managed to snatch the lower jaw of Furry Boots that was stuck under Morg's finger nail! I'm guessing that souvenier will fetch a decent price on IpeeBay! Morg looks stunned as he is escorted back to the dugout!  Looks like the norse star player Frazzy Etta is fed up with all the fumbling, he's going for the ball... AND IT'S A TOUCHDOWN! What a scramble, what a play! That's something! How about that, Nippy? Nippy, what's wrong?
- ...the blood... ....he just hit right throug...
- Still going about that first block then. Honestly, Nippy, tt wasn't even that impressive, just a basic Morg'n'Thorg widowmaker swing. Snap out of it, the gobbos still have time to score if they manage the old Toss the tosser play! And they're going for it! Morg grabs First Mate Bob by his suspenders and let's fly! It's a long bomb, if Bob just manages to land it, he just needs to run to... Oh, you really should land your nose first... Well, I think that wraps up the first half... Oh, wait, one of goblins got hurt by the norse... Well, that's not anything special. Onto the half time! We'll take a short break and come back to you when the second half is starting!
- ...it was just dangling there, like an egg... ...oozing like a jelly...
- ...then he just laughed...
- Come on, Nippy! It wasn't that special a play, I tell you! Welcome back, dear listeners! Second half of the Fantasy Armor Inc versus the Old World Pirates is about to begin. The score is 1 to nil for the norse in touchdowns and 2 to 1 in casualties! Well start the game with 5 men on the goblin side going against 10 of the norse, sweltering heat, failed dodging and eagle-eyed refs have really wreaked havoc on the gobbo lineup. There's the kick! And it goes out! Norse coach tosses the ball to the werewolf Valley Yo. Norse go to work on the front line, both trolls are down, there goes one of goblins and Valley Yo goes running. Goblins are down, nobody but Kenny Falmouth can reach Valley Yo, so Kenny bravely tries to dodge away... and he's down. Nobody up for the norse to hit, so Valley Yo just keeps running, and... IT'S A TOUCHDOWN! Nothing the goblins could do there, the armor producst of the Fantasy Armor Inc just protect those norse too well! But that was auite a decent run, wouldn't you say so, Nippy?
- ...and why did he have to bite his...
- Heavens, the way you talk about that block really makes it seem more spectacular than it was. Well, let's see the fourth kickoff, gobbos get another player on the field but their chainsaw guy is still knocked out so it'll be 6 against 11 as norse also get one of the heat exhausted players back. There's the kick! Bad kick, it lands just besides Morg, who is fast to pick up the ball. He advances with rest of the Pirates caging him. Here come the norse, one of the troll captains goes down and Finnjävel gets next to Morg. Which maybe isn't one of the wisest things one can do, graveyards are full of folk who tried to get intimate with Morgn. AND... Well, Finjävel gets away with scare, he's just knocked out... Frazzy Etta KO's First Mate Bob... Morg is crowded, he tries to blitz his way out, only manages a push back, so he has to dodge away, not the easiest of dodges but not the hardest... Can't do it, Morg goes down! Ball is loose! Norse runner Luis Roy Oh picks up the ball and runs it close to endzone! Frazzy Etta knocks... wait, he's piling on him! Frazzy Etta injures Kenny Foulmouth! This match is over, the Pirates are just trying to survive now. Frazzy Etta falls on one of goblins again ... Sness is hurt! And now Roy Oh scores! Quite a match from Frank Frazzy Etta! One TD and three casualties! That's the old Gorgoyle Howler hat-trick! Just one more kickoff, let's see if the goblins get anything... Kwikit finally out and he goes to work with his chainsaw, nothing, you just can't penetrate that excellent Fantasy Armor Inc's armour that the norse are wearing! And there's the whistle! It's over folks, the Fantasy Armor Inc take it! All right, we'll come back to you next week from another random NUL matchup! Any wise words for the listeners, Nippy?
- ...it must've flown at least 10 meters, spraying blood all over...
- IT WAS JUST A BASIC BLOCK, NIPPY! Well folks, seems I guess I'll have to have talk with my assistant here, so have week everyone! I've been Gron Grumbundy and you've been listening to Blood Sports Spotlight Live!

Yeps, gots me a scare right at the start when Morg deaded my lineman but fortunately the goblin bombardier opened up the goblin defence which gave me the momentum after some turns of goblin-like plays from both sides. Gnaarkill's Chainsaw guy got knocked out fast and stayed out until the last drive and gobbos started dwindling down. Nothing for Gnaar to do after the first half as he had four guys injured (two from dodging), one KO'd and one (bombardier) sent off so he was heavily undermanned. Thanks for the nice game, Gnaarkill!

Sorry, but that didn't work out after all. We were going to watch game of thrones together then, would 21 work for you as well? (or even better 21.15)
