Breaking News: Pirate ship sunk to the bottom of the ocean, by theír own crew

It was a glorius day when the Gauls met the Pirates. Perfect weather.

As usual the pirates had geared up with double ball and chains and double bribes. It was clearly time for shenanigans.

But Black bart was not himself, maybe it was due to seeing the gauls? So he first killed Elon Musketoon. The star goblin of the butcher bay's pirates. And it continued mostly downhill from that. A skink managed to BH the other star player and shortly after that Black Bart felt hungry and decided to eat a third goblin. However, the goblin managed to sneak away, just lightly wounded.

On the other side the gauls played their normal game. Which meant that the Saurus mostly just pushed around some small goblins and Brutalix, the newest GGG player spent the first four turns just trying to understand what happened. When he actually managed a simple move into the throng of players midfield it was such a success that the crowd cheered.

First half ended 0-0 after many fumbles back and forth. However, second half started with a 11-7 advantage for the gauls since the pirates managed to hurt themselves quite badly in first half.

That meant the 1-0 score came quickly after just three rounds. The audience rioted due to the lack of relevant play and another turn passed before the match could continue.

Yet again the pirates were two few to be able to defend the ball. Yet again the gauls scored. 2-0. It was now turn 15 and the game was done.

Or was it? No, Black bart finally understood how to throw a team mate after trying countless times during the game. Mr Turner got the ball from the referee and hold it closely while Bart managed to throw him far into the gauls side, passing all defences. He landed on his feets and ran as fast as he could to score. 2-1 after a fantastic 1 turn touch down from the goblins.

And that was the end result of the game. Thanks a lot for the game Gnaarkill. A pleasure as always. Sorry about Elon Musketoon. But at least you killed him yourself, so I do not feel guilty. :)

Well, the spectators who had gathered to witness some gruesome deaths in the first match of the second seasons for the Amazonian MPDG Fever, the team that got know as the one that the Death stalketh', were dispappointed today. The reason for not the grimmest of reapers not showing up might've been that the Amazonians were playing against Bretonnian team La petit morte and the Bretonnians are know for their knightly behaviour. Though this was not present on the field, as the La petit started advancing on their first attack after receiving the kickoff. Amazonian linewoman was injured right from the start to a degree that she will probably have to live with niggling knee problems for rest of her life, though how long that will be in a team that Death stalketh... After two more Amazonians were KO'd, the Bretonnians seemed to have the situation in control and their cage advanced towards the goal slowly. Just before the ball-carrier was about to start the scoring run, the manic pixies made their play, sending their tackling Blitzer to hold down the ball-carrier. The knightly fellows were not however afraid of a simple wench and send a Blitzer of their own to bring down this intruder. And surely, a Blitzer went down. But as it was the Bretonnian, the MPDG suddenly had a chance. More wenches rushed to the scene and the ball-carrier went down, ball bouncing next to an Amazon. The Bretonnians still had a chance for a score, but as there were only knightly folk around the ball and these valiant fellows knew all eyes were on them, they refused to lay their hands on a lady (if you can call Amazonians that) and instead knocked themselves out. Thus the first half ended scoreless.

Second half started wild, with the crowd rushing onto the field, not an unfamiliar sight in the MPDG match. And as always, the crowd mostly wanted to get their hands on the more pixier side of players. So, when the situation cleared, there were five Amazon lying stunned on the field against one Bretonnian. The MPDGs were in a tough spot but managed to secure the ball, but couldn't get no cover for the Thrower carrying it. Bretonnians rushed the Thrower, but couldn't get her down. Ball being deep in the Amazonian territory, MPDG coach ordered the Thrower to advance and toss the ball forward to midfield, where a Catcher was awaiting. The plan worked, but as almost half of the Amazonian team was still recovering from the crowd rush, the cage to secure the carrier was too loose and as the Bretonnians crashed onto the spot, the ball loosened. This resulted in a wrestling match, where both sides tried to get advantage over the ball. For a moment it looked like the Amazonians were getting the upper hand, but then a Blitz pushbacked one of the feverish MPDGs onto the ball and then the ball bounced to hands of a nearby knight. One dodge, run and handoff later the ball was out of reach of the Amazonians. And soon the score was 1-0 for the Bretonnians. But the MPDG side still had enough time to score. Kickoff landed next to midfield and the Amazonians went to work. After some manouvering they had the ball secured in the scoring distance, protected by a loose cage. La petit morte did the best they could, sending a Blitzer to hold down the ball-carrying Thrower. That he did not do, as the Thrower dodge away and started going for the goal, as fast as she could and even faster. And that proved to be the problem, as she slipped right on the goal line. No score. The Bretonnians started celebrating by knocking down the Amazonians. The emotions were so high, that one of the Bretonnians even decided to kick one of the ladies on the ground. But as the knightly fellows are not used to doing such dastardly things, the referees had no trouble spotting the foul and thus the match ended with a shamed knight being escorted off the field just as the judge blew the whistle.

Well, this was an exciting match. Saitani got the early injury and KOs on me and the scored seem inevitable, but then he decided to reroll pushbacks. And you know what that means, double skulls and I got the chance for the ball. Got the ball out and then Saitani was Nuffled again with a skull. But on the second half Nuffle decided that the suffering had been too much, and thus Pitch Invasion left my attack crippled with 5 of mine down. Managed to get decent cover by throwing the ball forward. Saitani loosened the ball and it looked like there would be a wrestling match for many turns for the ball but then the ball bounced right into Bretonnian hands and I couldn't stop the score after the ball dodged away. Got a chance to equalize on final turn, but dodge, gfi and gfi without rerolls proved too hard, or the final gfi did. Nice game from Saitani, looking at the luck numbers I was surprised they were so even. I did wonder about my armor rolls at one point but didn't realize they were so much below average. Nice game, thanks again for the game Saitani, and as I said, see you in the finals ;)
